Lens of Truth Side-by-Side: Killzone 2 and Killzone 3 Retro Maps - News

As most of you probably know, we're running an awesome weekly giveaway in which you can win a brand-spankin' new copy of Killzone 3, Gran Turismo 5, or inFamous 2. This is brought to you by the current Schick/Edge promotion in which you can submit codes off Schick and Edge products to get free in-game content for those same three games. What do you get for Killzone 3 with one of these codes? You get the Retro Map Pack. This pack features two favorite multiplayer maps from Killzone 2: Salamun Market and Blood Gracht.
We got to wondering: how do these fan-favorite maps hold up in Killzone 3 compared to their Killzone 2 origins? We decided to enlist our friends and partners at The Lens of Truth to help us out. First up are some side-by-side comparison screenshots. Killzone 2 is on the left, Killzone 3 on the right.

They don't say which side is KZ2 or KZ3... lol. Anyway both look very good...
I thought they were going to do an in-depth comparison showing how much better Crysis 2 looks compared to KZ3? What happened to that?
lol. they compare a night map with a day map?
I like the guns, blood, explosions and lighting effects better in Killzone 3 but everything else looks better in KZ2! Possibley because its more darker.
I like everything about KZ2 better.

even if the graphics in 3 are better... the KZ2 environments are so cool and get the action to some place else...

Dam. Its like night and day lol. makes you wonder if the ps3 has more untapped power.

Colors made a good change in Killzone.

wow Kz3 does look better, more crisp and detailed. But i do like and miss the darken style in kz2. Both great games both worth the purchases!

Killzone 3 is the best fps ever for me so Killzone 2 hardly matches it
and people said we were being fanboys by saying that killzone 2 was just muddied down dark colors. i mean hell even with the actual light in killzone 3 you can see how bland gray pastels killzone 2 was
