Third 'Army of Two' Outed by Job Posting

Via EA’s job board: EA’s third-person shooter franchise Army of Two will see the light of day soon if a couple of job postings are filled.

Bells have been rung for a senior producer and lead environment artist "for the Army of Two franchise" to join the Visceral Games team in Montreal.

This will be the third game in the series following Army of Two: The 40th Day which was released in 2010.

Maybe you have what it takes, hmm?

Requirements for the Lead Environment Artist Are:

  •  5+ years experience in game development modeling and texturing environments.
  •  Have shipped AAA PC or console titles as a lead 3D environment artist.
  •  Technically creative, main job to Implement visual direction and create new innovations for technical execution.
  •  Experience working with an art director in developing a unique and cohesive modeling and texturing style for environments.
  •  Superior eye for light, shade, color, and detail in creating texture maps.
  •  An exceptional understanding of form, Architecture, shape, structure, and silhouette in regard to modeling.
  •  The ability to effectively collaborate with game designers and programmers.
  •  Experience managing, scheduling, critiquing, and administering performance reviews for a team of artists is a plus.
  •  Self-motivation, good communication skills, and a great team-player attitude.
  •  Strong foundation in the traditional arts, including but not limited to figure drawing and environmental and/or architectural illustration.

  •  Ability to unify the team and bring them together on key decisions or to react to change.
  •  Contribute to a passionate and positive work environment that fosters the highest quality output from team.
  •  Developing strong relationships with publishing and marketing to ensure support of partners.
  •  Ability to represent team and the product with key organization decision makers- protecting the best integrity of the product and the team.
  •  Liaise with other development teams in both in Montreal and globally.
  •  Defining the absolute best product for the customer understanding the market and the competition.

Requirements:

  •  Proven success shipping 1-2 AAA titles.
  •  Minimum 4 + years experience in video game production with multiple shipped shooter titles (1st or 3rd person)
  •  Unrelenting passion for video games and video game development.
  •  Experience managing a successful team and delivering high quality products.
  •  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  •  Self-motivated with ability to take initiative.
  •  Strong Leadership skills- establishing organization structure to achieve goals.

I hope they try to be more ambitious if they're actually making a new game. The first two were pretty by the book.
