Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D to Have RE: Revelations Demo

If you’re not familiar with Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D, think of the Mercenaries game mode from Resident Evil 4 and 5. Capcom has taken that concept and made it into a full game.

In saying that, it is not a “real” Resident Evil game in the sense that it’s more of an arcade-romp than a full blown Resident Evil experience.

Capcom has good news for the people in Japan, at least. Mercenaries 3D will come with a playable demo of Resident Evil: Revelations. Revelations IS considered a full-fledged Resident Evil game.

Capcom refers to the demo as a “pilot version.” A similarly named demo was playable at Nintendo’s World demo event held in Japan last January. That demo had the player using Jill Valentine going through a creepy ghost ship.

Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D will be released in Japan on June 2. The game has not been given a US release date. Do also keep in mind that the demo is for the Japanese version. No word from Capcom if they’ll be doing a similar promotion when the game ships in the US.
