French gaming magazine Joystick has a very interesting cover story for their next issue. They appear to have a big Prey 2 reveal, a game that was guaranteed to happen after the huge success of the original, Prey.
Prey 2 had fallen off of the radar after the Prey rights were acquired by ZeniMax Media back in 2009. A sequel was supposedly well on its way after the Executive Producer of the original, 3D Realms' CEO Scott Miller, announced in 2006 on a blog post:
"Real quick, some good news: Prey is a success. We know that within the first two months it passed one million units sold worldwide. And for a game on two platforms that's pretty darn good. There will be a sequel, and we think we have a interesting follow-up story to tell and some all-new innovations to bring new excitement to the table."
The original was a sci-fi first-person shooter with a heavy Native American influence (specifically Cherokee), so we can expect something along the same lines. But we won't know much more until Joystick release their next issue, so keep an eye out for more details.
