Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood took home the top spot for Best Writing in a Video Game from the 2011 Writer's Guild (of America) Awards. Special congratulations go to Ethan Petty, Nicholas Grimwood and Matt Turner for Script Writing; and Jeffrey Yohalem, Corey May and Patrice Desilets for the story.

Nominees also in contention for the award:

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
Fallout: New Vegas
God of War III
Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands
Singularity
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II
  • Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
  • Fallout: New Vegas
  • God of War III
  • Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands
  • Singularity
  • Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II

Writers Guild of America Awards are limited to publishers who are members of the organization and who included writing credits for the game. One wouldn't think that would be so difficult, but Mafia II, Alan Wake, Mass Effect 2 and Red Dead Redemption weren't nominated.
