Xbox PC App Overhaul in the Works - News
by William D'Angelo , posted 7 hours ago / 552 ViewsXbox is working on an overhaul of the Xbox PC app, according to Windows Central.
Jez Corden was able to use an early version of the updated app and notes that along with a new design it runs much faster than the current app. It is also easier to see when a game is installable or of it is just a stream only game via Xbox Cloud Gaming.
The new Xbox PC app has designed for mouse and keyboard, as well as a controller. It is also possible to set the app as your default home screen when loading Windows 11 using the "Game Mode" setting. It will default to the controller scaling, which works better for devices like the ROG Xbox Ally handhelds.
The navigation between the game listings is more streamlined as the store listing and game listing now share a single interface.
There isn't much in the way of new features as the focus appears to be on improving performance and making it easier to navigate.
