Grand Theft Auto IV Getting a "Complete Edition"

by Nicholas Taylor, posted on 05 October 2010 / 2,370 Views

If you've somehow managed to miss the commercial and critical hit Grand Theft Auto IV from 2008 (which got mixed reactions from the public, should be added) and its addons Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and The Damned and Grand Theft Auto IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony, both of which were later collected as Grand Theft Auto: Episodes From Liberty City, now's your time to get a package deal containing all three.

It'll be released for PS3 and Xbox 360, though no word has been said regarding a PC collection. According to the retailer, the collection pack is set for release on October 26th of this year. If you really have missed it, make sure to pick it up. With all three editions in one set, you're bound to get a lot of bang for your buck.

Yeah, San Andreas and Chinatown Wars are awesome. GTA IV...not so much.

So...its all coming on 1 disk? Or all three are getting packaged together? I thought that had already happened

maximus22 (on 06 October 2010)

Ugh, will this game ever go away?

Awesome! Sold my old Version a couple of days ago for a loss of 15 USD, didn't get tht updates so the complete version is a big saving for me and I am looking forward to get it a little later when the prices for this one drop as well.

i don't get the hate. I thought it was good (though I admit, not my favourite gta!). May pick this up as my 360 went spacko about 4 missions shy of completing and I never went back at the time (and have yet to pick up either the dlc or the collected discs of the dlc). ps. Am not sure forums are necessarily any validation of the 'publics' opinions as they're usually full of psychotic fanboys who are very onesided (this site being an exception, of course, heh heh!)

Took their sweet ass time. The Lost and the Damned and the Ballad of Gay Tony are better than GTA 4. I can play those DLCs for hours on end, while I get bored within 15 minutes of playing regular GTA 4.

For all the people who just bhought a 360 or ps3 this is a nice deal. Personally GTA IV is one of my favourite games this generation. Sure it wasn't the same as the last one, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's bad. I think Rockstar will go back to the over the top style of GTA SA and Saints Row 2 (but better) with GTA V.

@Dr. Grass, the hate for GTA4 was enormous from its very release (by fans, not critics). Personally, I love it, so I don't understand it, but you must've been avoiding forums or something.

Severance (on 06 October 2010)

@Dr.Grass were you on the forums years ago ? :-P

Dr.Grass (on 06 October 2010)

I don't get it... Highest score ever on metacritic. SO many fans rejoicing about it. MILLIONS sold. Then, I played it for 20 mins, was utterly bored, returned it the next day and was dumbstruck by the situation. NOW it seems like others also didn't think too much of it. Where were you guys a couple of years ago!?

JayGee (on 06 October 2010)

Nice. Was pretty close to getting the two episodes on PS3, but now I'll just wait and buy them all! Gonna trade GTAIV to amazon in preparation.

nickvasko (on 05 October 2010)

cmon rockstar really? now? why dont you crack on with the next gta instead of tryin to dip your hand into our pockets?? smh

Miguel_Zorro (on 05 October 2010)

I've stopped buying most games new. I just wait for them to release the inevitable Complete/Game of the Year/whatever edition now.

naznatips (on 05 October 2010)

The episodes are actually good... just the episodes. Just buy Episodes Of Liberty City and skip GTAIV. Don't need it.

L.C.E.C. (on 05 October 2010)

So... like how the game should have been packaged in the first place? Yeah, fuck DLC. Overpriced and encourages developers to put less into a game and be lazy. Oh, and discount prices don't apply except in rare occasions... so everything is the same price most of the time regardless if it's old or new... Yeah, fuck you Rockstar, and Fuck this whole "gaming" industry. This is a load of BS.

jozanovic (on 05 October 2010)

What's this? What do I hear? Ah Yes, the deafening sound of a billion crickets.

darthdevidem01 (on 05 October 2010)

F**** this game.....so boring, nothing compared to GTA:SA R*

zzamaro (on 05 October 2010)

halil23 (on 05 October 2010)

Fuck you rockstar! I brought mine 2 months ago and to make matters worse I haven't even played it yet!!!

Goddbless (on 05 October 2010)

I'm not sure anyone still cares at this point.
