Ah yes, the rocket jump.  Team Fortress 2.  Quake III.  The only "official" way to beat E3M6 on DOOM.  How did it start?  YouTuber extraordinaire Freddie "freddiew" Wong has the green-screened historical story for you, complete with some pretty snazzy special effects.  You can check out some of his other work at his website, or just watch the video below and see what happens when you try to camp someone that knows the true capabilities of a rocket launcher.
