Sega Registers Valkyria 3 URL; Valkyria Chronicles 3 Incoming?

by VGChartz Staff, posted on 23 August 2010 / 997 Views

Thanks to some digging around, it seems that SEGA registered valkyria3.jp back in May 31, 2010 if you do a whois lookup. SEGA owns valkyria2.jp which was registered on June 29, 2010 and valkyria.jp on August 3, 2007. Both these URLs link to the respective games' official sites. If you go to valkyria3.jp there's nothing there but a username and password prompt, but could this possibly hint at Valkyria Chronicles 3?  Or is SEGA just covering their bases?

Valkyria Chronicles 3 wouldn't be so surprising since both games seem to have been a success and SEGA are definitely pushing the IP with an anime, action figures, and whatnot. The second game came out in January for the PSP in Japan so we could hear something about another sequel sooner than later.

News of a VC3 on PS3 would excite me more than any other game announcement since the original VC. But I also liked the VC2 premise, so I would like to see VC2 come to PS3 eventually, as a PSN DL game. I wanna see Rosie, Jann, Largo, Vyse & Aika back in action. Maybe they could come back, what with the Federation clearly having it's own designs on Gallia, in it's weakened state after warring with the Empire it's the perfect time to attack!
