NIS America Is Bringing Trinity Universe to America and Europe - News

Trinity Universe has new protagonists with unique stories that intertwine as they both try to solve a space debris crisis. It takes place in an original world, but has many guest appearances from the Atelier and Disgaea universes, such as Etna, Flonne, Pamela, and the mandatory Prinny. The whole game will be in full 3-D animation, which means some of these characters are making their 3-D debut.
There's the story of Kanata the Demon Dog King:
[quote]For generations, Kanata’s ancestors have protected the Netheruniverse by transmogrifying into a Demon God Gem. However, Demon God King Kanata refused to become the gem and instead became a Demon Dog King. Since then, he has enjoyed a carefree life in hiding, but he eventually began thinking about the toll of his decision. Accepting the title of Demon God King and becoming the gemstone will stop space debris from crashing into his world. If he could get to the source of the space debris and solve the problem, everybody will be happy. Determined, Kanata goes on a journey to save his world.[/quote]
And Rizelea the Valkyrie:

Trinity Universe was a collaboration between Nippon Ichi Software, Gust, and Idea Factory, and it will be coming to American and European PS3s this June.

Ah, so they figured out that their 95% drop in profits was because they had only ever made 1 game. Now they (seem to be) trying something new. If this is a new SPRG and isn't just a Disgaea clone, I'll buy it.
