Created by RockStar Games, a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. Players will follow the shady exploits of Luis Lopez in the second episode, The Ballad of Gay Tony, as he becomes involved in Liberty City's fast-paced, corrupt nightclub scene. Both episodes feature new vehicles, weapons, and music.

The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony also will be available on the same day in North America to purchase separately on PlayStation®Store via PlayStation Network for $19.99.
Rockstar shouldn't wonder why this will sell like shit (negative meaning :x) on the PS3... They waited too long+ 2010 is full with awesome games.
I'm laughing all the way to the bank! Wait.... no... I'm just laughing. Rockstar is going to the bank to make some deposits though.
R* wants me to pay full price for the DLC? are they out of their minds...
dont care about this game anymore maybe a year ago, but now... no thanks
Agree that it should have stayed exclusive or release it for both consoles. Guess its good news for those who wanted to play it, personally i donīt care. Well i guess the big question is how big will the sales big?
i want it. but will NOT buy it. im not supporting the PS3 being treated as a 2nd rate platform, they got there money from M$ who have to 'pay' for games il be keeping my money this time rockstar
Agreed with Reasonable. Get some more full exclusives and stop trying to mislead people into thinking some of this stuff is for xbox only.
I thought GTAIV was an incredible game. And that the reviewers were spot on. The story was amazing and very accurate in my opinion with its tale of Eastern Europeans wanting to make headway as the new gangsters. I thought Nico Bellic was a very well realized character. I enjoyed the driving segments. To me, they felt as realistic as any driving scenes I've played in any games and I usually don't like any racing games. I thought the music was amazing from Ace Frehley's Back in the New York Groove to Godley and Creme's Cry and Smashing Pumpkin's 1979 and the European styled dance music. The places like the theatre and strip club you could go to were wonderfully realized. And some of the shows you could watch on Nico's tv presented some of the best satires of pop culture and tv in general that you will find anywhere except perhaps on South Park. So, it bothers me when I see the comments dismissing the quality of the game. I can see how some people might not have liked it because it focused on a different ethnic group than SA which a lot of people probably found to be cooler, but I think the story was much more serious and realistic in IV than in SA.
I wish they would put GTA IV and the episodes on one blu-ray as an ultimate edition on PS3. That would be killer. Still getting episodes on PS3 cause 360 always breaks on me.
Very nice indeed. Quite late for Lost & Damned, about a year late, but only a few months since Ballard of Gay Tony was released, so pretty good considering it was a mystery as to if it would ever come to PC or PS3. As a PC owner I'll probably be getting BoGT for PC.
LMAO!!! Way to late for this, its been 1.5 years since the game dropped, so LMAO at R* for being stupid enough to release an XB360 timed exclusive DLC for a major franchise that is available for both platforms. For 1.5 years R* completely neglected one half of the user base of GT4, all while dishing out timed exclusive content to the other half. They should have kept it exclusive to the 360. This news just made R* loose my support as a PS3 owner, because it just became more evident that they could careless about the other half of the gamers that bought the game 1.5 years ago. And another LOL for how much they are charging for the content. If this dont spell "i don't give a f*** about my consumers" then what else could it possibly mean?
What was the point of it being exclusive to the xbox 360 when they will appear on the playstation 3 and pc?
if M$ didn't pay them they would get more money from the beginning. No one will care now about the game when it will be released on the PS3.
well m$ just got pwned, they still must be happy w/ the success of halo though. i guessed rockstar just stabbed them in the back and stole 50 million, just like in gta, the ps3 is niko and the 360 is the fat russian guy w/ o money left.
Do people even still play this game, let alone waste their money on the overpriced add ons? Just wondering
great for GTA fans out there. unfortunately its a little to late for me. GTAIV is old news now. Not only that but this is releasing on a very jam packed month. during that time ill be far too busy playing FFXIII, GOW3, dragon age awakening and maybe resonance of Fate. soooo good luck rockstar hope u can make some decent sales
Awesome. Now the highest rated version gets the dlc too. I'm glad I've held off purchasing a next gen console for awhile.
So it was true, that M$ pushed money into Rockstars a*s to get an earlier release, I knew it O:
@Reasonable I agree, either go full explusive or stay equal, none of this timed crap, especially for DLC. However in GTAIV case I do not care, I really disliked the main game and will not be buying.
hmm i never saw this coming..well 2010 is going to be even huger! lol
I actually didn't think it was gonna happen. deciding whether or not to complete the main game now!!
I said it in all the topics about third party exclusives. There's no such thing as third party exclusives anymore. Mass Effect 2 is next. The agent is next. Final fantasy Versus XIII is next. Splinter Cell is next.
I actually hate these timed exclusives. It's a denial of service tactic for consumers. A full exclusive, fine, that's how you differentiate. You either make 'em yourself or pay others. But paying to halt availability on another platform is a poor approach IMHO as it does nothing for the end consumer and is essentially a 'bully boy' tactic vs simply providing compelling exclusives like Halo, Gears, etc. I wish MS would drop it and actually focus on getting exclusive IP on their platform instead of wasting lots of time stopping IP getting on another platform.
sure, and the "thank 360 fans for the Vesperia Beta" story is part of your compensation for lateness arguments? cause yeah, it's just compensation when part of the content is in the game code but unused... just as if it was cut to be completed later on Compensation is adding free DLC, not adding something that the early ones cannot have. It's the same thing with DVD collectors edition releasing a while later with 2 extra deleted scenes... I just hate improvements that should be there in the first place.
"There is nothing more that I hate than improved versions of games, I feel like everyone that bought the original were ripped off by an unfinished version...." Improvements in late ports is a way to compensate the lateness, because nowness has de facto more value than lateness. But you knew that and went stealth trolling, didn't you?
This is good news for PS3 fans. Why the anger ? These two comments are unacceptable : "360 fans never should have opened their mouths, they are left eating their words...all of them." "Microsoft is lying to the consumers on the boxart of the x360 versions it says "only on xbox360" what a bunch of liars"
Isn't content for PS3 that already released elsewhere supposed to have additions to it? It would suck big time if this version was more complete.... There is nothing more that I hate than improved versions of games, I feel like everyone that bought the original were ripped off by an unfinished version....
360 fans never should have opened their mouths, they are left eating their words...all of them.
MS has already collected any front loaded sales they could have hoped to gain by having timed exclusive episodes, both for the episodes themselves as well as GTAIV. In that sense, I suppose it was worth the $50m MS allegedly paid for that time, even if the episodes themselves supposedly sold below expectation. As for being a feather in the cap of the 360 line up: oops. Everyone, Xbox fans included, can now resume not making a big deal out of GTAIV episodes.
Microsoft is lying to the consumers on the boxart of the x360 versions it says "only on xbox360" what a bunch of liars
Dear Rockstar: DON'T FUCK UP THE TRANSFER!!! too many DLCs that have been on XBOX than brought to PS3 have been crap. PLEASE make this good and not laggy, unplayable garbage.
I swear I've read "RockStar announces new GTA Vice City Stories for PS3 and PC"
"I just want to clear up the rumor of MS paying RS 50 million for the timed exclusive content; it's just a rumor." There were actual documents indicating the money paid. So you didn't clear up anything.
Wow this gen is just too funny. The 50 million MS deal was supposed to be a loan so theoretically they got the money back but it did fund development of the DLC.
I just want to clear up the rumor of MS paying RS 50 million for the timed exclusive content; it's just a rumor.
It amusing that MS pays for timed exclusives that end up coming over to Sony for (I assume) nothing invested? Wonder how many of these timed exclusive/exclusive deals with 3rd parties have actually ended up being profitable.
wow does the 360 have anything exclusive..... how much did they spenddddd
I seriously thought this was a lost cause, well, whoop-dee freakin doo.
I made a thread first :( Oh well. Cue people going bat shit.
