PC Version of Batman: Arkham Knight Returning Next Week - News

by Chinh Tran , posted on 24 October 2015 / 5,091 Views

According to an update on its official Steam page, the troubled PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight will be re-released next week.

"At 10 am PDT, Oct. 28th, Batman: Arkham Knight will be re-released for the PC platform. At the same time we’ll also be releasing a patch that brings the PC version fully up-to-date with content that has been released for console (with the exception of console exclusives)."

Batman: Arkham Knight initially launched on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One back in June. However, after it was clear that the PC version was not up to par, and would not be so for some time, Warner Bros. pulled it from availability pending bug and stability fixes.

Too late. The damage has been done.

I agree, the only thing they can do now is release it as a bargain game for 19 bucks.

I imagine WB won't, I can see them releasing it at full price, same with season pass and no compensation.

I don't think that was really warranted for an article based only on the PC version and the port trouble....

It may not have really been warranted, but it further goes with the idea that the pc version is screwed, because the ps4 and x1 versions are great. The damage is done.

Yeah but it's already a known thing at this point. it's like coming in to just rub salt into the wound even though we all know the damage is also done.
I can easily imagine if PS4 received some bad port jobs that I could swoop in unrelated and say "so amazeballs on PC" and I'd get downvoted to hell.

To be honest, I'm not really interested in playing the game yet (even if it works properly at relaunch). I'm currently focusing on all the games I got from the Capcom Humble Bundle.

The game is epic! Already runs 1080p 60fps on my PC after the interim patch in sept! Half way through it, but now I'll wait a few days and try it at 4k after the latest patch. Best part about it, I got aa steam key online for $16 back in august cuz it was pulled from PC :-)

I never got to play Arkham Knight. While the PC version was terrible, how was the game on Xbone and PS4?

You aren't missing much. It's a lot like the batman movie franchise. Batman begins was really good. Arkham City was incredible, and Arkham Knight was a big jumbled ambitious mess.

Funny how it ended up being 4 months. They should of delayed the PC version from the start.

Their delaying wouldn't have fixed it since they started out with a console based 12 man team from the start, delaying every PC version doesn't automatically make it a stellar port, if we went by that logic then every PC port would be delayed in which case it has been proven they don't need to be.

that took a while

The damage is well and truly done, I don't expect WB to make much from this thanks to their incompetence.

Let's hope the refunds and fan outcry has taught them to not screw up future ports.

For the time being I'll simply avoid them until they prove they can keep a clean record.
