PlayStation 4 Sales Top 22 Million Units Worldwide - Sales

Sony's eighth generation home console, the PlayStation 4, has surpassed the 22 million mark worldwide, according to the VGChartz Global Weekly Chart.

The PlayStation 4 reached the milestone for the week ending April 18. The console sold 180,884 units to bring its lifetime sales to 22,056,265 units. There have also been 100,085,169 games sold for the PlayStation 4 at retail.

Looking at the software sales for the PlayStation 4: three games have sold more than five million units; 15 games have sold more than two million units; and 32 games have sold more than one million units.

Grand Theft Auto V is the top selling PlayStation 4 game with sales of 6.84 million units. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare has sold 6.62 million units and FIFA 15 has sold 6.03 million units. Destiny has sold 4.78 million units and Watch Dogs has sold 3.64 million units.

The Last of Us Remastered is the best-selling first or second party game (i.e. published by Sony), with sales of 3.00 million units. inFAMOUS: Second has sold 2.25 million units and Killzone: Shadow Fall has sold 2.24 units.

Theres a vid on youtube with a Sony guy claiming over 24million units sold to consumers, from E3, during a demo of morpheus.

100 million games sold already is rather impressive. Software sold per year will only increase in the coming years.

Awwww Xbone's number one game is MCC with 1.1 million sales. Ryse hasn't even hit 700,000 yet. How sad.

Is there a plan to get the numbers current? We're seeing sales numbers from 2 months ago? And for a "Sales" website...that really defeats the purpose of coming here. Over the decade or so that I've frequented the site, this is the worst I've seen it.

Hopefully things get back on track, because the article views tracker seems to be showing a decrease in traffic and I've given up on the forums.
