Guns, Gore & Cannoli Sells Over 20,000 Copies Week 1 - News

Indie PC title Guns, Gore & Cannoli has managed to sell more 20,000 digital copies within its first week on Steam, developer Crazy Monkey Studios has announced.

This is a rare, but very much welcomed case of a developer revealing first week sales for its title. The size of demand for the title clearly came as a huge surprise to the indie studio that created the game.

Guns, Gore & Cannoli is a side-scrolling platformer that 'takes a 1920’s Tommy gun turf war and throws in zombie lowlifes and Italian pastries'. It also includes four player local cooperative play.

Guns, Gore & Cannoli is available for PC and Mac via Steam. PS4, Xbox One, and Wii U versions will follow this summer.

It's nice to see a developer with reasonable expectations do much better than anticipated. If EA put out the same game with the same budget and got those sales, they'd be firing people left right and centre even though it's profitable, just for them 'not profitable enough' .
