MLG Viewership Has Grown 253% This Year - News

Major League Gaming, the eSports organization, has seen huge growth for its MLG.tv platform. Viewership has increased 253 percent year-over-year in the first quarter of 2015.
MLG.tv had been seeing growth of around 70 percent per quarter, however the first quarter of 2015 beat out the third and fourth quarters combined. MLG claims to have 27 million monthly viewers, with 50 percent of them on mobile or platforms like Xbox Live.
"We launched with a premium, highly-curated programming strategy and the result is a fast growing, engaged millennial audience of millions," said MLG president and co-founder Mike Sepso. "We invested heavily in our ad solution and focused on mobile and OTTV distribution and the results have been amazing for both our advertisers and our broadcast partners."
Ad revenue in the first quarter of 2015 jumped a massive 482 percent year-over-year. This was due to the expansion in areas outside of Twitch.
