Bethesda Not Showing Anything at The Game Awards - News
by William D'Angelo , posted on 03 December 2014 / 7,201 ViewsMicrosoft's Aaron Greenberg announced this week that they will not be showing off any Xbox One exclusive games at The Game Awards. Bethesda has now said they will also not be showing any games at the award show. However, there will be 12 world premieres for games.
"PSA -- We're not showing anything at the Game Awards. We'll be there to support @MachineGames," tweeted Bethesda.
The Game Awards will take place this Friday at 6PM Pacific, 9 PM Eastern and 2 AM UK time.

This isn't surprising. I do wonder if ESO is still heading to consoles though.
Possible, but you didn't take into account the new generation of consoles. They should require more effort, and I'm sure Bethesda was already aiming for the new consoles after they finished Skyrim properly. Besides, the engine they used in Skyrim doesn't look like it's going to be very useful for new consoles and Bethesda is probably going to have to develop a new engine finally.
All in all, I'd say they have plenty of reasons to take their time even without MMO elements. It's possible there are some but this does definitely not guarantee that.

They are just taking their sweet time to develop a good game, as it should be.
