VC sales strategy for VGC members in Other country: give VC for birthday presents, Xmas presents etc to everyone you know who is remotely interested in gaming. Even people who don't have PS3's. They can hire a PS3 and play it. Message | Report |

The best JRPG i have played this gen by far.The story was awesome, and genuine , the only shortcoming is that while it is enemy's turn , you cant skip it to be a bit faster , but instead have to watch the entire moves , which can take up to 10 minutes in some battles. other than that minor flaw the game is perfect. @Torillian - The DLC has been released here in Australia. We're serviced by SCE Europe, so I assume Europe has it too. It came out at the same time as the US release, but it seems to have had a minimal impact on sales here :( Message | Report |

@binary, I just said "in the US" because the DLC was really old in Japan so it's a nonfactor by now and the DLC was the only thing I could remember changing for VC in the US lately. I'm unsure if there is an EU date on the DLC or if it is already out. Message | Report |

Recently reached Chapt 17, with over 30 hours of gameplay (not including failed missions). I'm pretty much a casual gamer... haven't played a game this intensely for a long time. I find a lot of game lose their novelty after a while. VC is a massive exception! Probably the best story + character game I have played this gen. I'm pleased to see Sega's commitment to the game, and the resulting boost in sales. All PS3 owners should be made to buy this game Message | Report |

Dude, I HATE JRPG's, because they are all very boring to me...but this one is something special. It combines many elements from fps/tps/and jrpg. Well taking into account they built the Canva engine from the ground up, and that it took them four years of delevopement for this game, add to that the level of polishing and the fact they hired renowned seyiuu to dub the main characters. We can estimate the developpment costs around 10-12 millions which means in the worst case scenario the game needs to sell 600K to break even. I bought it and am about to start chapter 5. I have to say, it's a great game. The one "issue" (i am not even gonna say problem) is that I always end up using 3 or 4 guys during the battles and frget about the others. After a couple of rounds they are so far away I would just waste CP to use them. But great game so far. Message | Report |

I use gamerankings, not that other site. They have Vesperia at 83% and Valkyria at 87%. There's nothing wrong with comparing the two games. I think it's fun talking about RPG's and comparing tbh. You can go to the Vesperia page and say Vakyria is better, I wouldn't see anything wrong with that at all. This is an open gaming community after all. Message | Report |

@outlaw This games reviews aren't that far from vesperia's. 87% isn't that much greater than Vesperia's 83%. I'd say they're pretty much even review wise, seeing as how a lot of reviewers game them very close scores (i.e Gamespot giving them both an 8.5). I think Valkyria has the superior combat system and gameplay, but Vesperia looks be better all-around. Message | Report |

Amazing game! I especially love the skirmishes. It's not like in some Fire Emblem/FF Tactics games where you can only level up certain characters during missions. @Montana The story is somewhat vapid at the very begining, but once you're past chapter 5 it takes off. The Gameplay however becomes gradually more intense and soon you're fighting some very epic and long battles. This is a great game. Sadly, it's sales are the same as Eternal Sonata's and Tales of Vesperia. The only thing these three titles have in common are the cell shaded graphics. Even though the graphics in all 3 games are very good, and look great on an HDTV...it seems most gamers are rejecting this art style in this generation of games (well on the 360 and ps3 anyways). For me this game comes only second to Fallout 3 for best RPG of the year and its definitely one of my favorite games even compared to the PS2 era in its prime. It's an okay game .. but not as good as some people try to make it look. - The story is terrible and cliched all around. - RPG system is pretty much non-existant, you dont chose any skills or stats, instead you level your units up in a linear way. - maps are pretty small and characters lack the ability to climb/crouch/lay down(only in the grass)/take cover using walls or anything. And so there is not much place for some tactic. - skirmishes are the same maps you play in the story mode, there is little challenge in the game, it is pretty simple and you always know what to do since maps are so small and linear. - art design is interesting but graphics are meh. Physics engine doesnt work properly. I dont regret buying the game, but I would had not if not all the hype around it. Message | Report |

If you save/reload all the time it can last up to ~60 hours. No replay value. This game has a somewhat idiotic storyline, awful mechanics & physics and a strong tendency to ignore its own odds system. It's not a surprise that sales numbers are going down everywhere. this is a Tactical RPG. You cant compare this to a Infinite Undiscovery, or tales of vesperia. There's a big difference in popularity between these two genres. Especially in the EU and US. @ Onna Some people doesn't understand that with niche genres, userbase size doesn't matter. It's those hardcore fans who buy all the SRPGs. The fact that a new ip has a chance at passing a well known series (Fire Emblem) and become the high selling SRPG (Japan only, this gen) in Japan is amazing. Message | Report |

Normally my name would stand here with owning the game, but I'd rather wait until the US version, which hopefully will release "soon"! it'd be pretty funny if this game turned out to be a killer app for the ps3 in Japan. But based on the initial shipments i'm pretty sure this things only going to sell at about the same rate as disgaea 3. Message | Report |
