platinum/hits will sell great for this title, goty edition should move a few hundred thousand as well as heavy bundling come christmas and boxingday/black friday(some games sold like 150k in a single day on those days)

not to mention the sequal boost(another 100k at least)

add that most believe this is undertracked by 200-300k and i believe 5 million is more than in the bag.

This is in my top ten games of all time. the way its rolling along now, considering the legs of the first game, as well as a september GOTY version and holiday boost, i predict 4.5mln by 12/31/10. More and more people are buying ps3's and this is one of the games they are picking up. i hope this franchise turns into one of sonys big franchises like gran turismo and ps1 crash games in terms of sales.

just finished this game for a second time. It's very rare that I play a game twice, but it's very enjoyable.
really is a nice game to have in your collection so you can give it a whirl every few months or so.
graphics are astonishing. still the best the ps3 has to offer.

Oh my god ROFL. You guys really have to assume everything, eh? I'm not an idiot, I can tell the difference between a composite and a component cable. My PS3 & 360 are hooked up using HDMI cables.

If you liked the way K2 looked, congrats, I didn't. It looked below average to me. Then again that wasn't the only reason I didn't like the game. (Cover system was annoying. Helghast are a cool enemy design, but every character on your side is terrible.)

Just because you have an HDtv does not mean you have the correct cables to hook said tv up to really enjoy it. Plus just in case you did not know, even if you have the cables, you still need to set the ps3 to HD to enjoy said game in HD. Now if you tell me you have done all of that and got the same results, then I would say it is time to get rid of that 150 dollar aoni or what ever brand you currently own.

Killzone 2 just overuses blur and particle effects. Textures are muddy and look low res and each level is just numerous shades of the same color. It's repetitive, dull and there's no variety. (Also yes, I play with an HDTV)

I just bought Uncharted 2 last night and put almost 2 hours in it. Amazing so far.

Jeez fanboy much? How can MY score be biased? Its MY opinion. I have finished the single player of kz2, and have played at least 5 hours on the multiplayer. I didnt particularly like it, so sold it. I finished the SP on uncharted 2 and have done about 7 hours on MP, loved it, still have it.

@ Wagram: Uncharted and Killzone both do certain things better than God of War III. They are all ridiculously good-looking, graphically, though. For instance, in GOWIII, the character model for Kratos looks way better than most other characters. In fact, some of the gods (not naming names) look pretty bad up close. What it does better than anyone else, though, is TITANS!!!!!

I still say MGS4 (I am a big Metal Gear Solid Fanboy) is the best game for the PS3, but I have spent more time playing Uncharted 2 than I ever did playing MGS4 and I enjoyed about as much as I enjoyed MGS4. I am conflicted. That's how great of a game this is. Way 2 Go Naughty Dog!!!

@ NYANKS I notice you read my previous post on demon souls well I like uncharted but I dont love it and that is a dissapointment I really tried but i couldnt also the game is a solid 8 and not game of the year choice but still among the finest in graphics and dialogue this year. Still dragon age and demon soul have the upper hand, also I consider that batman really make a real improvement form previous titles I Know all of the where junk but the improvement people talk about in uncharted 2 for is not there. I beat Demon's Souls twice and absolutely loved it. I didn't think PS3 gaming could get much better, then I played Uncharted 2 and WOW. Can't believe the graphics, the acting, the story, so well done. Just getting into the multiplayer now.

Great game! It was quite long, the cutscenes were great, graphics as well, the soundtrack fit the mood, etc. Still suffers from enemy AI deficiency and poor cover system to ledge drop mechanics though.

Snoddas...this had alot of advertising in the UK, infact i sore adverts for it on TV 2 weeks before it came out i have also seen alot of the NA TV ads and posters Etc...its not on the Level of Sims3 advertising but still very good! and they had Uncharted 2 all over the sides of Pepsi didnt they?

Damn. Assuming the game sells at least 100k for every week up until the holidays, the game will sell at the very least 2.3 million before the year is out. But considering sales should only grow per week each week until Christmas, it will probably top 2.5 million.

It's not unlikely that this game will top 4 million lifetime, easily trouncing the sales of the first. This is really impressive.
