They have done an excellent job on this "game" -- The ways the fish move, the lighting effects, the attention to detail. I was surprised when my more hardcore gaming son wanted me to play it because he enjoyed watching it. One of my daughters has started playing it too.

WOW 540.000 sales, niiiice. This game is relaxing and a beauty. Too bad the WII can't handle 780p gfx, or else you'll be stunned.

Who knew a game with underwater exploration and barely any real "game"play would sell 500k. I haven't seen a game like this sell since Ecco The Dolphin. Congratulations, truly.

Beautifull game with this special flair. I think it would be a so called "secret hit".

Can selling over 1 million, but only if it holds the line to summerholidays...

awsome legs in NA. should reach 750k no problems.

Maybe one million if it can hang around until the holidays.

Well, what I meant by "hit" was when we get European data.

Faxanadu posted 11/03/2008, 09:34
yeah baby, others finally in!!! Massive sales for the game. Uber-Hit!

This will definitely reach Gold status, which is really good for such a niche game.

This game is like a rocket in America, I'd be scared of the sales once it reaches Europe.

This is one of the least appealing games I've ever seen. I would never buy it. Keep in mind that I'm an avid Nintendo supporter, but this really isn't even a game.

Faxanadu posted 05/02/2008, 10:16
well, I would assume the game sold about 100K already in Europe by now. I mean it released before christmas and hence should have seen strong sales. I find it sad that a game in the database shows about 50% of its real sales.

tokilamockingbrd posted 05/02/2008, 01:31
It will sell kinda like cooking mama... REALLY slow, but steady. I see 500-750 when I check back in this in a year.

Montana, here is your comment: "Wow, I can't believe someone actually bought this".

You want to say this does not sound negative in any way? Please.

Your last post disqualifies you even further.

just bought this today... and after a couple of dives i must say this thing rocks!
most relaxing game I ever played.
I'm a certified scuba diver too with lots of dives, and this comes as close to the feeling of diving as you can get in a game. (Don't expect a reality-like simulation, as acidzebra said. You can do stuff here which would kill you in real life...)

Also, I posted that comment at least 2 months before I was a mod.

is this even a game? I played a demo for a while and it was interesting enough but, hmmm. Still, it is not really expensive.

As a certified scuba diver myself I can say the game breaks a lot of scuba rules (dive profiles and no-decompression limits are not a part of this game and your airtank seems to last forever) but as a marine wildlife identification aid it is pretty accurate. Although it took me all of 5 minutes to find rare ocean life that you would almost never see in real life.

Still, it was oddly relaxing.

Since Metroid Prime was sold out at the local store and this readily available at a budget price, and since it has me intrigued, I bought it today. So Montana, I own it. Any problems with that? I must say your comments are definitely mod worthy.

Wow VGC has a lot of trouble tracking this game. First, it reached the million in April 2009 and was adjusted down, then it reached the million mark again in December 2010 and now it's adjusted down again. It will probably reach it again soon but come on VGC...this is not serious!
