PS5 Best-Selling Console in the UK in September - Sales

Sales for the PS5 are up 24 percent year-on-year and up 117 percent month-on-month. 2026 year-to-date the PS5 is down 26 percent.
The Nintendo Switch 2 was the second best-selling console with sales up 17 percent year-on-year and up 70 percent month-on-month. Switch 2 is up 13 percent year-to-date.
The Xbox Series X|S came in third place with sales down 29 percent year-on-year and up 30 percent month-on-month. Xbox Series X|S is up 1.7 percent year-to-date.
There was a combined total of 125,000 consoles sold for the month. This is up by nearly 10 percent year-on-year and up 78 percent month-on-month.
GSD data shows the PS5 exclusive, Marvel's Wolverine, sold strongly at physical retailers. One-third of sales were physical in the UK and over two-third in France. 51 percent of sales across Europe were physical.
