I've been wondering since yesterday, if xbox does start releasing all their games on other platforms, how much would that boost PS5 sales? There would be pretty much no reason to own a Series X|S other than gamepass but even that is on PC, so could the PS5 end up closer to the PS2 than to the PS4 as a result?

In USA I do think the Xbox zealots were quite successful in keeping millions of sales away from PlayStation. Good chance sales of PS5 will surge after the announcement of going multiplat.

a massive boost, PS and Xbox share the same home console market, and more games on PS also increases the value of PS, and on top of that PS Pro is coming

PS sales will peak this year probably, far outselling the Switch like last year, but even more so

The only was Xbox has a shot is that Trump gets elected and bans all Playstation products to be sold in USA. Even then it would be hard for Xbox to win though.

How do you come to the conclusion that Trump should ban the PlayStation?
It is more likely that Trump will greatly disempower large corporations such as Microsoft.

It's not a serious prediction or idea. lmao

Trump liked to protect American products, like cars. So if he sees gaming as an American industry that is threatened by Asian products, theoretically a ban could be possible. Though import tarifs on foreign gaming systems would be far more likely to protect the American gaming industry in an America First World. Aldo I am not saying this should happen, just that its the only way I can see Xbox reversing this trend.
