I suspect both Sony and MS would have been hoping for more for the full year. The PlayStation result is probably “solid” , Xbox is exceptionally poor.

I feel like XS will keep going down this year and PS5 might start a decline as well.

Xbox Series X/S benefitted from PS5 shortages, and from about late 2022 to the present once PS5 has been readily available, Xbox has gotten whooped even in the USA.

i don't think that is true, there were many Xbox shortages so they couldn't produce them so the massive demand didn't help, meanwhile you can see only the Switch being older hardware got a shortage-time boost as it was readily available

it is right in the numbers

also "whupped" you say, but the Xbox and the Switch have similar sales number in the USA

Xbox shortage were for Series X, Series S was always available.

Ps5 is 100 less at all times over Xbox sx, so they easy get more sales
