just read the graph above? Xbox sold 6.4m in 2021. they are already at 8.4m in 2022, so sold way more this year than last, and the year isn't over yet.

Switch down 28 percent. Now down another 21 percent. Really dropping fast. Almost already half of the old peak.

I wouldn't really say 28% and 50% are close. It's two years out from an extremely high year for any console. They're going down at about the rate they went up. Next year probably will still be more than 60% of the peak.

Looks like Sony is missing their target for PS4 to sell 1M this year.

500k have to be reached. I also think there may be slight adjustments for it.

They were only manufacturing 1 million PS4's this year. It was their initial target to stop PS4 production at the end of 2021 but because of the chip shortage of next gen consoles they extended this by 1M for this year. They never stated it was their target to sell these 1M all in this calendar year and even if there was a target it would be a fiscal target. It was to clear the last of the assembly lines and move to PS5. They didn't miss any target so you are misinformed.

You're right, my bad. Since Sony stopped to provide sales figures for PS4 in their reports we'll probably never know the final sales of PS4.
