PS5 and Xbox Series X|S Sales Climb - Worldwide Hardware Estimates for July 17-23 - Sales

The Nintendo Switch was the best-selling console with 302,622 units sold for the week ending July 23, 2022, according to VGChartz estimates. The Switch has now sold an estimated 110.71 million units lifetime.
The PlayStation 5 sold an estimated 265,067 units to bring its lifetime sales to 21.61 million units. The Xbox Series X|S sold 191,519 units to bring their lifetime sales to 15.98 million units.
PS5 sales compared to the same week for the PS4 in 2015 are up by nearly 85,000 units, while the Xbox Series X|S compared to the same week for the Xbox One are up by nearly 113,000 units. PS4 sold 180,142 units for the week ending July 25, 2015 and Xbox One sales were at 78,780 units.
The PlayStation 4 sold an estimated 6,189 units, and the Xbox One sold 438 units.
Nintendo Switch sales compared to the same week a year ago are up by 8,788 units (3.0%), while the PlayStation 5 is up by 51,241 (24.0%) and the Xbox Series X|S is up 65,169 units (51.6%).
The PlayStation 4 is down 22,197 units (-78.2%) year-over-year and the Xbox One is down 10,434 units (-96.0%).
Looking at sales week-on-week, Nintendo Switch sales are down by nearly 3,000 units, PlayStation 5 sales are up by nearly 46,000 units, and Xbox Series X|S sales are up by nearly 11,000 units.
2022 year-to-date, the Nintendo Switch has sold an estimated 8.83 million units, the PlayStation 5 has sold 4.64 million units, and the Xbox Series X|S has sold 4.33 million units.

Nice to see Switch staying above 300k again. With XC3 the following week, along with the Splatoon 3 OLED Switch and the game itself in September, hopefully Switch sales can hold close to that number for most of the next several weeks. Overall expecting Jul-Sept to be higher for Switch than the Apr-Jun number that will be revealed soon.

My guess by the end of the year is 21 million xbox 29 million ps5 and 120 million switches
PS5 is finally starting to break away from the 5m gap that it was stuck in with the Series for so long. 2nd half of the year should be a nice recovery with improved production.
Maybe. The fourth quarter is traditionally Xbox's best overall, but also the quarter they tend to be closest to Sony. So it depends on supply for each, and depends on how well Microsoft does at building up inventory (and how well they take advantage of that by doing bundles or other things to make sure they're moving all their inventory).
Japan is starting to run away with this now!
