In this first gameplay reveal for Starfield, Todd Howard showcased more details from the game, including exploration of planets, ship customization and piloting, outpost building, advanced RPG and character creation systems, and much more.

Starfield is the first new universe in 25 years from Bethesda Game Studios, the award-winning creators of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 4. In this next generation role-playing game set amongst the stars, create any character you want and explore with unparalleled freedom as you embark on an epic journey to answer humanity’s greatest mystery.

The year is 2330. Humanity has ventured beyond our solar system, settling new planets, and living as a spacefaring people. From humble beginnings as a space miner, you will join Constellation—the last group of space explorers seeking rare artifacts throughout the galaxy—and navigate the vast expanse of the Settled Systems in Bethesda Game Studios’ biggest and most ambitious game.

Starfield will launch for the Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Xbox Game Pass in the first half of 2023.

Looks good for the most part. I just don't like the sound of 1000 procedural planets. Would have much preferred they made like 8 planets and have them more fleshed out.

Where did you get that there won't be any fleshed out planets? Did I miss something? I saw several cities and there will obviously be non-procedurally generated areas related to the plot and major quests. How does one preclude the other?

So Bethesda went out and made their own Star Citizen

Though not entirely as grand scale, but something similar.

Yeah, Star Citizen is on another level with its scale. Not sure why people keep saying its like No Man Sky.. Star Field is like a console version of Star Citizen.

Because lots of the gameplay elements are very similar to NMS. There’s a few comparison videos out there.

Star Citizen has been in development 1 year before NMS released and was offering the same things SF is doing.

It looks real bad. Janky. Bad framerate. Bland artstyle. Bad shooting mechanics.

since it looks similar to no man sky gameplay wise, I need to try that game first to see if starfield is for me.

I havent played NMS but they share similar stuff, otherwise there wouldnt be bunch of comparison videos between them. if the things they share I dont like, it doesnt matter if it has fallout or skyrim elememt, I am not gonna like the game.

Well that was a big let down.the frame rate and they chose to to showcase something generic as an opening, nothing impressed with the shooting. They could have should us a level that looked interesting or some cool fight/enounter.

In case you're lost this game is launching in 2023, we are in the year 2022.

They should be in the finishing stages of the game. But doesn't excuse the lackluster showing. Atleast show off some epic footage and get us excited for the story. They didn't show anything that we haven't seen before in other games. I don't even know where the story takes you and what it's about.

I can't find the same interest in this game that I could find in the TES and FO games. Even tho it doesn't look bad, it really doesn't get me and it seems more like a lil something to make us wait untill TES6. Some ppl will like it but I say no thanks cuz I feel like the game lacks something catchy.

Either the space exploration elements are for you or they’re not. Some won’t like this, but the game shown is one a lot of people were excited and are happy for.

My viewpoint on the over 1000 planets. Endless modding opportunities that will keep this game alive for YEARS!
