SanDisk announced it has released its own Expansion Cards for the Xbox Series X and S consoles with 512 GB, 1 TB, and 2 TB options available.
"Introducing the new officially licensed SANDISK Optimus GX C50 Storage Expansion Card for Xbox Series X|S," said SanDisk. "Store up to 2 TB of games so you can expand your library without deleting favorites."
The SanDisk Optimus GX C50 Storage Expansion Card are available at the following prices:
- 512 GB - $109.99
- 1 TB - $199.99
- 2 TB - $339.99
This prices look to be discounted as the official website appears to show the regular prices crossed out with the 512GB at $137.99, the 1 TB at $249.99, and the 2 TB at $424.99.

Storage is wildly overpriced right now in general
The price is still very baf but you can actually find a Gen 4 M.2NVME drive for much cheaper even now simply because there is vastly more competition. You can easily find many 1TB drives for under $150.
They are also slow because they have a bandwidth limited to 2.4 GB/s. The bandwidth falls within PCIe 3.0 restrictions. Propriety will always be more expensive, look at the vita memory cards.
They were rumored to have been making these... a while ago. Wonder what took so damn long? More options, the better.
I really thought about this last night. I wondered if GTA would be so large that it literally would not fit on a series S without additional storage lol.
