IMO, the big story of the week is Demon Slayer selling only selling about 115k copies, despite how huge that series was last year. That's less than One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 last year, which itself was a big decline from the original's first week of over 600k back in 2012. JoJo's All-Star Battle did 390k its first week back in 2013.

Anime games haven't been selling that well on PlayStation consoles since the PS4 failed to fully replace the PS3. At this point, releasing a Japan-oriented game like this and NOT including a Switch version is insanity.

I think people also got tired of cheap anime tie-in arena
    fighters.

That wouldn't necessarily explain how even higher quality and non-arena fighter anime games on PlayStation have done less well in recent years (Dragon Ball FighterZ, the Super Robot Wars series, etc.

Though speaking of cheap anime tie-in arena fighters, the My Hero Academia games sold about three times as well on the Switch as the PS4. So make of that what you will.

Dread is inching its way towards outselling fusion. Should definitely make it in about a month.

Guessing the OLED is in short supply?

That, the big and retailers might be holding onto a few in reserve for the holiday season, seeing how the big Holiday games are yet to come out (Mario Party & Pokemon).

That's a good theory about putting out more stock around the big releases. Idk about the holidays. That's a little farther out in Japan than in other parts of the world.
