Publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment and developer Sucker Punch Productions earlier today announced the open-world samurai action adventure game, Ghost of Tsushima, sold more than five million units worldwide.

Head of PlayStation Worldwide Studios at PlayStation Hermen Hulst via Twitter announced the game is the fastest-selling first-party original game ever on the PlayStation 4.

"Ghost of Tsushima is our fastest-selling first-party original PS4 game with more than 5 million copies sold since its debut in July," said Hulst. "What an incredible achievement by Sucker Punch Productions."

Ghost of Tsushima launched for PlayStation 4 worldwide on July 17.

Congrats, a lot of caveats but ok. And there is a typo on the article saying "playstation 5"

If they can fix the bad AI, when sneaking this would be a complete masterpiece. I'm already salivating for the sequel.

What bad A.I. are you referring to?

Sneaking in the game is entirely too easy, because the AI is dumb as rocks when it comes to finding the player character.

I see. But that's by design, so I wouldn't call it bad A.I. since it's doing what it's supposed to do. Example of bad A.I. is if it's supposed to exit a house, but gets stuck in the door. So I'd call this poor design from your perspective. There's a charm that lets you remain hidden while killing enemies from grass for example. Even though I popped out in front of the eyes of several enemies, none of them saw me, because of the charm and the A.I. responding accordingly.
There are also charms that reduce enemy detection speed, and charms that makes enemies give up on searching for you quicker. And from my perspective this made it more fun for me, because I can get back into the action more quickly rather than laying in hiding for 2 minutes like I some times have to do in MGS.

I understand the charms thing. If you are all charmed up you can basically stand in plain sight and not be seen. Same goes for sneaking in Skyrim with a sneak skill of 100. In both cases the AI isn't broken or bad. It's part of the game. But what I'm talking about with GoT is when I go into a battle all like LEEERRRRRROOOOYYY JENKINS!!!, and at the end of a very noisy very bloody fight, I have to find that last archer guy in the watchtower directly above where I slaughtered 20 of his buddies. I mean, I'm not even wearing any stealth gear at all.
