Sony Interactive Entertainment has confirmed the PlayStation 5 reveal event has been rescheduled for this Thursday, June 11 at 1pm PT / 4pm ET / 9pm BST.
"Now that the event is confirmed for June 11, I wanted to add that this pre-taped program will be broadcast at 1080p and 30 frames per second," said Sony. "This eased the show’s production process during a time when many of our team and developers are working from home. The games you’ll see on Thursday will look even better when you play them on PS5 with a 4K TV, as you’d expect.
"It’s also best if you watch while wearing headphones, if you can — there’s some cool audio work in the show, and it might be harder to appreciate if it’s pumped through your phone or laptop speakers."

A new Twitch ad has gone live today that revealed Sony's PlayStation 5 reveal event, which was previously delayed, will now be held this Thursday, June 11 at 1pm PT / 4pm ET / 9pm BST. The start time is the same as the original date.
The digital event will be just over and hour in length and feature a first look at games in development for the next generation console.
"With each generation, from the first PlayStation to PlayStation 4, we aim higher and we push the boundaries further, to try and deliver better experiences for our community," Sony Interactive Entertainment President and CEO Jim Ryan originally said about the event. "This has been the mission of the PlayStation brand for more than 25 years. A mission I have been a part of nearly since the beginning.
"There are few things as exciting as the launch of a new console. While this road to launch has been a bit…different, we are as thrilled as ever to bring you with us on this journey to redefine the future of video games."
