Noraneko Heart 2 Demo Includes Same Level of Censorship on PlayStation & Switch - News

Following recent controversy and debate concerning censorship of certain games, Harukaze seems to have made a singular move with its new visual novel Nora to Ojo to Noraneko Heart 2. While the first Nora to Ojo to Noraneko Heart triggered the whole scandal, with an excessively censored PS4 version compared to the earlier PSVita version, and an untouched Switch one, the developer seems to have decided to put all costumers on an equal footing for the sequel, at least if the demo is anything to go by.
The above pictures are taken from the PSVita and Switch demos of Nora to Ojo to Noraneko Heart 2. As you can see, both versions of the hot spring scene feature the same graphic and level of censoring. This makes it likely that Harukaze applied Sony's more restrictive censoring policies to the Switch version, in order to try and avoid further controversy.
It's worth noting that the game has received a CERO C rating in Japan, which means it's recommended for ages 15+ across all platforms. The first one, however, was rated CERO D (17+), so it's likely that the content has been toned down a bit. Nevertheless, the demo on the whole includes a lot of sexualised artwork.
In any case, Harukaze's decision casts doubts on whether Switch can eventually become a censorship-free haven, as some had hoped.
