Crossy Road Hipster Whale was the top game by number of downloads, Candy Crush Saga was the game with the most monthly active users, and Electronic Arts was the company with the most overall downloads.

Whoa. I guess it's not too surprising. There was this guy I worked with a few months back, that had shelled out over $10K on Clash of Clans alone. All it takes is a handful of peeps that are THAT ddicted to mobile games.
This data will be really interesting in early 2017 when Pokémon GO and 2/3 Nintendo mobile games are released on the market. also it's news of today that Pokémon Shuffle is available in the Italian Play Store (and I suppose the German/French/Spanish too) so we'll see how well this games do on mobile...
