Nintendo Slips Off Top 100 Brands List for First Time - News

Nintendo has dropped off of the Top 100 Brands list compiled by Interbrand for the first time since the ranking system began in 2001.
Nintendo was dropped from the list due to its recent struggles in the home console market, where its Wii U console has failed to hold its market share against rival platforms the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The Nintendo 3DS, despite selling well, has not lived up to its predecessor, the Nintendo DS.
However, the company is working hard to change its fortunes. Its debut in the mobile gaming market thanks to a partnership with DeNA and an upcoming new console reveal could see it return to the list next year. Nintendo has also partnered with Universal to bring theme park rides to Universal Studios that are based on its properties.
Microsoft is ranked 4th and Sony is ranked 58th, although it must be remembered that both companies have a heavy presence outside of the gaming arena.

Yeah well... 12 hours later nothing happened, and this comment is still getting upvotes as if was true... that says really a lot about people in this forums. Nothing good though.
This lines up with my personal experiences, it's seems just about everyone I know has forgotten nintendo exists.
Hopefully they can turn it around with the NX and, perhaps even moreso, their mobile presence.

Oh my god it's the end of nintendo...they won't recover from that... in a few more years they won't even in the top 150 and so on... it's going downwards for nintendo... it is really the END...... wait who the fuck cares for something like that? Nintendo they are back next year without a doubt.
