The Evil Within Sales Top 818K First Week Worldwide, PS4 Version Sells 426K - News

The Bethesda Softworks published survival horror game The Evil Within sold 818,816 at retail across all platforms in its first week on sale. The PlayStation 4 version sold more than all the other versions of the game combined with sales of 426,388 units.
The Xbox One was the second most popular platform for the game with sales of 143,845. 126,169 units were sold for the PlayStation 3, 77,840 units were sold for the Xbox 360 and 44.573 units were sold for the PC.
The Evil Within managed to sell 305,654 units in the US. Sales in Europe were almost identical with sales of 304,178 units.
The Evil Within launched in North America and Europe on October 14. It was developed by Tango Gameworks.

Hmm, Alien Isolation deserved to do better than this game...
Great numbers for a new IP. A new franchise is born. The story is kind of me, but I'm pretty sure we'll find more answers in the sequel. This game and alien isolation is a huge comeback to horror games. Alien Isolation takes the cake in horror to me. While the evil within was good and felt like a sequel to resident evil. My only complain was the game should balance between the horror and action . But I'll give them a pass since its the 1st game. Congratulations :)
