Epic Purchases Bulletstorm Developer People Can Fly - News

Epic Games after working closely with developer People Can Fly over the last decade has decided purchase the studio. People Can Fly, the Warsaw-based developer has worked with Epic on the PC version of Gears of War, Bulletstorm, the currently being developed Gears of War: Judgement, and other projects. Epic has owned a majority stake in the company for five years.

However some bad news does come with the purchase. Three developers have left People can Fly which include studio founder and creative director Adrian Chmielarz, principal artist Michal Kosieradzki, and lead artist Andrzej Poznansi.

Epic's Mark Rein said to the Verge that the departure of the three developers won't have a negative impact on the development of Gears of War: Judgement. Rein also said that the departure of Rod Fergusson, who left Epic to work for Irrational Games on Bioshock Infinite.
