Zelda 3DS Set for June 19 Release

Get ready to draw out the Master Sword. The handheld premiere of a gaming classic is just two months away.

Nintendo announced on Tuesday that The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake for the 3DS is set for release on June 19 in North America. This comes on the backside of a leaked Spanish distribution source's list of upcoming release dates for upcoming 3DS games pegged the game for a June 17 release -- presumably for Europe, of course.

As previously reported, Shigeru Miyamoto has promised several new surprises in this new remake of the classic Zelda game while staying true to the series. Not surprisingly, the extra-tough Master Quest is set to be included with the 3DS version of the game as one such example.

I knew It would come out in June. i was talking with some guys at EB and they were all like "I would be surprised if it came out before fall." There was no way this was going to come out in the fall.

I'm not sure but wasn't there a rumor that stated exactly this? - I love it when that happens :p
