Black Ops Is PS3's Best Selling Game Ever, Says Activision

Killzone and Resistance should be selling over 5 million!

i have both ps3 and xbox 360 versions and think there equal except the fact that microsoft get all the map packs first. vgchartz has a long list of undertracked ps3 games!

we have no one to blame but the idiots who would buy a game like this over say uncharted 2... It is the gamers who keep buying this regurgitated crap. We allow activision to treat us like shit.

I was simply stating the same fucking fact the majority of the people who posted on this topic were stating - "it does not deserve the fucking title of #1 PS3 game." Well, I'm proud to say I haven't bought it and don't plan to - not even used. Heck, I don't even want to borrow someone else's copy. I'm boycotting all COD games after what they did to Jason West, Vince Zampella, and all. hehehe.

Oh and before anyone points fingers at me - I work at the largest retailer in the world (hint hint) and the same goes for both systems. It's the hottest selling game as of the last few months (or at least close to it) so there needs to be constant overstock to fulfill demand.

They could mean shipped ahead still. We always have tons of Black Ops copies on the shelf.

open your fucking eyes vr6G. It seems like activison has no reason to do such things. PS3 fans will buy their game in droves regardless. And yes black ops does seem undertracked, likely in Americas. Won't be beat till the next call of duty. Call of Duty has become so many gamers dirty little pleasure. Hell black ops(PS3) outsold most ps3 exclusives in Japan for crying out loud.

Considering it's a very poor attempt of a port - it does not deserve the sales it receives. Open your f***ing eyes Activision and treat PS3 users with a little more respect.

According to VGC, it's still 370k behind MW2. However, selling at least 30k weekly more then MW2, we should see it become the best selling PS3 franchise in 12-13 weeks. I think Activision wanted to say it's the biggest to promote the game, and since they are fairly certain now that Black Ops will overtake MW2 in terms of total PS3 software sales. Looking at the 360 version,that game still has 2.29 million to go to close the gap. Why is Black Ops selling more evenly between PS3 and 360 then MW2 did? 380k more to surpass Halo 3

And I'm in shame to be part of it!!! I don't know if I should buy the map pack... :( , hopefully KZ3 keeps me busy until I decide.

To give you guys an idea of how big this news actually is, Call of Duty: Black Ops has been out for just under four months. That's a dam shame! Sony fans should be ashame of their selves.

it is probably undertracked. blops ps3 sold more in the us in 2010 than halo reach according to npd, yet vgc doesnt show that.

You'd think an article written on a gaming tracking site would provide said sites own numbers for added info... As of time of this post the total WW PS3 software sales shows CoDMW2 with just over 9m and CoDBO with just unde 9m. Considering statistical room for error, they could be right. Either way they have the top two slots on PS3 and both are CoD games.
