No "Pokemon Grey" Planned, Says Gamefreak - News

When speaking with the Spanish site MeriStation at a press event in London last week, Mana Ibe of GameFreak said that after Pokémon Black and Pokémon White, they'll be done with the current Pokémon generation.
This would be breaking tradition, as every previous Pokémon generation has seen a third, enhanced release, in the forms of Pokémon Yellow, Pokémon Crystal, Pokémon Emerald and Pokémon Platinum.
It's been generally assumed all over the internet that a third edition, tentatively referred to as Pokémon Grey would eventually follow up Black and White, but if GameFreak are telling the truth, then that is evidently not the case.
Pokémon Black and Pokémon White were released simultaneously on September 18th of last year in Japan, and are set to be released on March 4th of this year in Europe and March 6th in North America.

They'll 'surprise' us with Grey. They just saying there's no Grey so that Black and White can do better without speculation of a third game to wait for.
... but we know it is coming.
I can't imagine them passing up the opportunity to make a guaranteed quick few tens of millions of dollars...

No surprise here. Black and White are already releasing towards the end of the DS's life. After this, its not like they can continue making pokemon DS games, and I doubt they want to release a 3rd version on an entirely different system (3DS).
The next pokemon games will be an entirely new generation, and on the 3DS.
I guess they want to focus on the nex gen 3DS Pokemon games
