First Shots of the Official Wheel for Gran Turismo 5

Planetadejuego and GTPlanet have unearthed some first shots of the upcoming Thrustmaster T500RS racing wheel, the official wheel for Gran Turismo 5.

The wheel features three pedals which are reversible, meaning they can be played top or bottom hinged. Rumor has it the wheel will be selling in the neighborhood of $500.

Way too expensive. I'm happy just using the analog stick to be honest. Unless you're filthy rich, I can't see anyone wasting money on this wheel.

@ lestatdark & dahuman. This wheel apparently has unmatched steering accuracy, it's belt driven, and the reversible pedals out the box will all be a big selling points for some over the G27 or Fanatec GT3 offerings. Also they are selling a shifter seperate.

Too expensive a wheel for it to be a simplified version of the G27, since it doesn't seem to have a proper shifter. Also, if this is supposed to be the official GT5 wheel, why doesn't it have On the Fly buttons characteristic of the previous official GT wheels, like Driving Force Pro for GT4 and Driving Force GT for GT5:P? Seems kinda odd.
