Howard Glitch Is "Dying" in 7 Days?
by VGChartz Staff, posted on 27 November 2010 / 1,909 ViewsRemember Howard Glitch, the "interactive point 'n click 'n escape reality game" from August? Well if you missed it back then, you can still play it for free on YouTube. If you did play it back then, it turns out... it wasn't finished. The game's creator, Robert Allmand, just sent out this cryptic e-mail message:
"To all the gamers out there, this is in your hands now ;)
Have a kickass weekend,
Rob."
Hm... what... what could this mean?
He has also shared a new video on YouTube, titled "✖ The Glitch is Dying ✖." It's just as mysterious as ever, but now it seems that Howard's death isn't really optional anymore. He will be dying, and the player's new ultimate choice will be to steer him to the "correct" afterlife. That's all we know so far, so watch the video for yourself.
Of course, this could mean that there are 7 days to raise enough money to complete the project, and the game will go to "development hell" if the goal of $2,600 is not raised by December 6th. At least, that's what I'm assuming after I followed the video's mysterious link to the not-so-mysterious website http://www.youdecide.tk/. They're trying to raise enough money to turn this misadventure into a book, audio book, E.P., and game, to be released in the spring, with the audiobook narrated by Henry Devas of the BBC. As of this posting, they've already raised $922 with only 31 backers, and there are 8 days to go.
Good luck Howard! I have a feeling you'll need it.
