PlayStation Move - 300,000 Units Sold in First Ten Days

by Brett Walton, posted on 30 September 2010 / 15,785 Views

Following the news last week that Sony sold around 140,000 units of Move hardware in the first few days, we can reveal that as of the September 25th over 300,000 units have now been sold, around 40% in the Americas and the remainder in EMEAA (Europe, Middle-East, Asia and Africa) - Japan has to wait until October 21st for Move.

Sports Champions (bundled with the Move pack in America and with some hardware packs in Europe) has now sold over 250,000 copies - by far the most successful Move compatible title to date and selling at over an 80% attach rate at this early stage. Sports Champions is clearly the early driver for Move hardware sales although as more software becomes available and new bundles are introduced we expect hardware sales to pick up further and of course the attach rate to decrease.

Stay tuned to VGChartz for the latest PlayStation Move sales news.

lol@ Oni. I'm just old and have been through all the fanboy bs since the days of Atari 2600 vs Colecovision and onward. :)

Raze hit a home run with his comment. Eureka somebody gets it!!!

Raze (on 03 October 2010)

Jordahn- If you were a Nintendo fanboy, you wouldn't have bought nor played a PS3. Fanboys are far too ignorant and spiteful to own a system that isn't from the company they swear fanboy devotion to. It'd be like a Muslim deciding to see what that whole "Christianity" thing was about by attending a Catholic mass on a Sunday. In the end, you may have your opinion, or just have a damaged Wii Remote, but I see no difference/improvement from the Move over the Wii with WM+ attached. Move is good, just like how the Wii controls are with the added attachment. Good for Sony owners, just not enough to really a game changer. Looking forward to testing out Kinect.

Bgeas12 (on 03 October 2010)

Good for Sony, but it will either slow down or speed up when kinect comes out. This is possibly the most important Q3 and Q4 of this console war. This year, I guess, determines the ending to the console war. I will always want nintendo to win but these are good numbers.

atma998 (on 03 October 2010)

@mchaza The Virtual Boy sold 1 million LTD and was a flop. I'm not sure about the 32X but it is known that Sega shipped 600,000 units just for the North American launch. I'm sure the Move will sell more than that LTD anyway. When we have to compare its numbers with two of the biggest flops... well that's not a good sign of success. @Ping_ii Because the reasons are obvious so I had to explain it to you because you doesnt seem to understand how the market is working right now.

mchaza (on 03 October 2010)

@XanderZane the virtual boy and the 32x didn't sell near 300,000 units in its first week, not even near its life time thats why it flopped so hard. stores couldn't get rid of the 32x since it didn't sell squat. Dont make idiotic fanboy posts, the move has strong sales 300,000 is good result could sell 1 mil by the end of the year.

tripleb2k (on 02 October 2010)

I'm waiting to buy MOVE when more games are available. I think a lot of people are too.

Ping_ii (on 02 October 2010)

@atma998 Hey your the one talking about weekly sales first. XD besides if your so "confident" about Wii sales this Xmas then why are you so hyper active in explaining the reasons why Wii has been getting outsold by 360/ps3 lately. =D

atma998 (on 02 October 2010)

@Ping_ii You're funny aren't you? This topic is about Move sales, not weekly chart and I don't think Wii fans have to find excuses for being barely outsold by the PS3 for ONE WEEK only haha. Specially when you know there wasnt any big SW, HW or bundles new releases for a while on the Wii in opposition to PS3/X360 lately. I guess this is the price Nintendo must pay for having the best Christmas line-up among the big 3.

Ping_ii (on 02 October 2010)

WoW.... THE mighty Wii fans making excuses for being last in weekly sales?who would have thought that day would come........ Also lol @ XanderZane kinect 1m in america 1st week? BET PLZ!!!! permaban for the loser? comon take it don't be a wuss now big mouth.

atma998 (on 02 October 2010)

@Jordahn Oh wait because PS3 barely outsold Wii this week you're telling us that Move is a success? Now is Move a good product? Sure, it's the same thing as a WM+ wiimote. Is it ''amazingly better'' than what the competition has to offer? No, unless you're a biased fanboy of course. Like XanderZane just said, VirtualBoy and 32X, two of the biggest flop in hardware history, sold probably better than this in their first ten days of sales. So in the end poor sales are poor sales, sorry.

XanderZane (on 02 October 2010)

Poor sales to start. I think the Virtual Boy and 32X sold more it's first 10 days. They should break a million by the end of the year I would hope. I think the U.S. alone has almost 1 million Kinect pre-orders for it. It'll be interesting to see how many copies of it sell its first 10 days.

oniyide (on 02 October 2010)

@Naum carnival games and deca sports say hi. You cant get more casual than that

Naum (on 02 October 2010)

serioulsy saw move the other day being showed... it's even more casual then Wii will ever get :)

Jordahn (on 02 October 2010)

@atma. Not when the PS3 outsold the Wii in every territory while the Move was just released. Those are facts not even considering that Move hasn't even been released in Japan. We can debate all day why the PS3 outsold the Wii in at least EMEAA and the Americas, but its VERY reasonable that Move sales helped the PS3 to outsell the Wii. Maybe because Move a good product. It's reasonable so it CANNOT be denied.

atma998 (on 02 October 2010)

@Jordhan If you really think what you wrote then let me say you're probably the one in denial here... lol

Jordahn (on 02 October 2010)

Hey, Raze, the Move is "amazingly better." How's that from a Nintendo fanboy?

Jordahn (on 02 October 2010)

Atma, you and others are missing out. Denial is a gamer's worst friend.

Raze (on 02 October 2010)

Ok, got to check out Move at a friend's house yesterday. Its not bad, but really, I don't see much of a difference between Move and Wii Motion +. Yes, its leaps and bounds beyond the original Wii controller, but not really a difference from WM+. The only thing it has over the WM+ is distance/range. Can pick up the motions from further away easier than the Wii. Its a nice addition for current Sony fans, but definitely doesn't "blow away" the Wii with Motion Plus, as some people claim, like mplayer below, for example. Anyone who suggests that its amazingly better is really just being a fanboy.

oni-link (on 01 October 2010)

I tried it and...I'm not impressed with this Wii clone!!!

jkudlacz (on 01 October 2010)

I love last comment, RIGHT ON THE MONEY, why would people go out and buy it if there are not games to play it with. Just this yesterday MAG update was released, Heavy Rain got an update on 22nd, bunch of other games are coming out on October 5th and then 2-3 weeks after that. With each new game hitting the market more people will choose to get Move. Stop bashing Sony and go to your nearest Best Buy and try it for yourself and after you do try it tell me that it is not better then Nintendo Wii Remote. I am a fan of gaming, I love that Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony fight for Gamers by introducing new games, new peripherals etc. We all win because innovation, and healthy competition gives us those great games. Also please stop posting stupid comments about pre order number for Kinect or how Move is same as Wii Remote or how much money Sony spent on their Move campaign. Unless you know your facts and you can prove it, keep it simple and to the point. Microsoft pumps money into advertising their products and they will keep doing it. Sony is expecting slow but steady sales for Move and as more software (GAMES) hit the market that require Move then you will see more Move's sold simple.

radha (on 01 October 2010)

what do they expect it has no software!

atma998 (on 01 October 2010)

LOL at all the damage control from sony guys! So much fun to read all of your comments...

ND3G (on 01 October 2010)

So thus far about 1.45% of PS3 owners in Europe and the Americas decided the Move was worth picking up. Not exactly selling like hot cakes....

Rawnchie14 (on 01 October 2010)

Not that exciting, but not bad either - considering it's far out from Holiday season still. I still don't think it can combat the Kinect though, unless the Kinect's final product is a complete turd.

Stefan.De.Machtige (on 01 October 2010)

Meh start. Sony can't be happy.

halil23 (on 01 October 2010)

Btw, this is without japan! So yeah prepare to eat your own filthy words!

halil23 (on 01 October 2010)

@ wandamaximoff, way to go off topic. See here people that was the dual definition of troll and fanboy! >_> Anywho, wait till xmas before opening your filthy mouth about it sales a failure or not... Haven't got mine yet as I'm waiting for Time Crisis. :-)

mplyler (on 01 October 2010)

Also, I would love to see Demon's Souls with Move controls...that would be exhilarating...

mplyler (on 01 October 2010)

I bought the Move, and it makes the Wii, look like worthless crap when it comes to precision... I used to own a Wii...and I sold it because I hated the controls...the Move has help to create a more realistic experience due to the depth perception that the camera creates... Ping Pong on Sports Champions is awesome!

Xbbjf9s (on 01 October 2010)

sweet lord there are alot of haters

haxxiy (on 01 October 2010)

Wow, I'm comment number 100. Keep the good work up guys, so I'll be number 200 too.

Nomad Blue (on 01 October 2010)

JTFC there's some bullshit spouted in these comments! We don't know if Move is doing "badly", as nobody knows what Sony's expectations were for Move except for Sony. Though what it's done so far isn't bad by any means. Move didn't have a massive advertsing campaign so you can stop with that crap. And has anyone got proof that Kinect has 500k pre-orders in the UK? No? Didn't think so.... Haters gonna hate.

Shonen (on 01 October 2010)

Its Ok ... but lets see what gonna be the sales level during holiday season. when it will compete with the wii and kinectics

Raze (on 01 October 2010)

aznable - doh, I thought something looked wrong with my math. =P Ok, so less than 2% of PS3 owners adopted it so far, that is pretty bad, but I'd like to see what the ratio is after the holidays to be able to assess how well or poorly the Move has done. My thought is that most of the PS3 owners who liked the idea of motion controls went out and got a Wii to compliment their system. Most PS3 fans I know really don't like the idea, and are ignoring the Move entirely. I honestly think that Sony and MS should have just waited for next gen to bring out their motion tech, it makes little sense now, other than basically crumbling and bowing down to Nintendo.

Jordahn (on 01 October 2010)

Too many non-gamers here hating on the PlayStation.

cleric20 (on 01 October 2010)

Move seems to be off to an ok start - one thing that I can vouch for is the without exception, everyone who has tried the Move at our house has gone away saying that they'll be getting one for Christmas this year... It really is something that when you try... you want to buy, so I can see the ripple effec continuing across the existing PS3 userbase and those looking to join the PS3 party this holiday.

DrPollit0 (on 01 October 2010)

I think we will have to wait many weeks to see if Move is a success or a failure. 300k is not a success.

spynx (on 01 October 2010)

Never expected this much considering the low marketing budget. By the end of the year, i expect a lot to be sold.

Ping_ii (on 01 October 2010)

@wandamaxioff Kinect = new new new? AHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!! more like kinect = EYE TOY 2 2 2!!!

Ping_ii (on 01 October 2010)

MY ohh my the bitter Micro/wii fans so many!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

Wandamaximoff (on 01 October 2010)

Im a harcore 360 fan im going to buy kinect for one very simple reason! I DONT EVERY WANT TO TURN MY 360 OFF! at the moment it goes off when i have a house party of my family over... with kinect it will be able to include everyone and hence it will be on 360 days of the year. My worst nightmare would be kinect support for harcore games that i already own. I feel that it would ruin the skill levels of most games on the market. kinect is not like move its about NEW NEW NEW not old rehashed.

reidlosdog (on 01 October 2010)

@chinmoku Move never reached top ten in pre-order sales. Move is simply backed by Sony, not by other companies seeking out the success that they themselves desires but putting there own advertisement in WITH Kinect (marketing power of Microsoft is pretty amazing). Everything you have said is opinion. And Microsoft is NOT looking for anyone to buy the 150 version of Kinect, the 299 version is what will sell, making the market much more diverse. Sony is not (no matter what Butler might say about the whole family being able to play it, those jokes are mainly towards gamers) aiming for the family, it is aiming for the only that they know without a doubt will buy their product: You. Everyone else is lucky enough to be a part of the experience of one person focused gameplay.

reidlosdog (on 01 October 2010)

@Apollian do you have a link or something to prove your claim? I live in America, so I only know the pre-sales in the States. @jin_shihouin I think a commenter said it best earlier, we aren't seeing a big burst in sales on the consoles, and many of those console bundles are just sitting on the shelves. A gamer base of about 37 million right now is pretty big, but I don't see much incentive for that new audience Sony is trying to aim for. It really does look like they are looking just for those consistent sales, rather than go big or go home (like Wii or Kinect). Both the Wii and Kinect are aiming for the "family unit" and Move is much more aimed at the "big screen, play in 3D, see and continuous orange yellowish haze while you play, finally get to do on Wii on your PS3" mentality.

chinmoku (on 01 October 2010)

Haha, you don't honestly think that Kinect will sell more units than the Move? This unprecise kick in the a** in not worth 150 bugs at all. It's a huge success for Sony and Kinect will be a fad because of the hardcore gamers that bought a 360. You don't think that those guys will bye a system that costs as much as the console itself? Come on... 360 has no Killzone, has no Sports Champions or another game that is actually good and playable with Kinect. So please wake up. Everybody knows that you need buttons ;-)

Apollian (on 01 October 2010)

very disappointing for Sony, Kinect has like 500k per-orders in the UK alone!!!!. Sony's Move is clearly not what gamers are waiting for.

Jin_Shihouin (on 01 October 2010)

Move is not a game. It will have consistent sales. So these aren't bad numbers per se.

z101 (on 01 October 2010)

Another round of disappointing sales for new sony hardware.

oni-link (on 01 October 2010)

What's funny is that there are more PS3-Move console bundles that are gathering dust on retail shelves than the actual controllers themselves esp the Navi controllers. Just shows that it did sell decently (thanks to the Sony fanatics) but the move hardly affected actual hardware sales. Yes, despite having a MASSIVE ad campaign the Wii clone did not even sell out of it's hardware bundle; meaning NO NEW CONSUMERS are buying the darn thing at the moment!!! ANYBODY that says otherwise is dilusional; wait until Kinect comes out and one will see a system mover indeed. If Wii got a price cut I will see this add-on go by the way of eye-toy and just be for the fanatics and nothing more!!!

Metallicube (on 01 October 2010)

Meh, it's just a gimmick. The fad will die soon ;)

AnthonyTonyMagic (on 01 October 2010)

Move is already a success. Sony have already stated that they make a profit on every controller sold, and people aren't going to limit themselves to a single game. 300,000 units is a good number. In my local store they are selling quite well, although they do have a ton of Eye cameras behind the counter. The boss said people are buying bundles, so the Eyes just aren't selling Kinect will probably sell more at first, but Move may get a lot more dev support as the install base picks up and if it is as easy to integrate as Sony say it is. Move has the potential to be an even bigger success for Sony, unless of course they forget to support their product (again)

NSS7 (on 01 October 2010)

Not bad at all. With few move support game i think the sales are quite impressive. In Japan it should do around 100k 1st week. I expect at least 1.2 million move sales this year alone. Kinect sure will sell more. Maybe 1.5 million 1st week and 3 million for whole year. Noted that Kinect is release during holidays.

aznable (on 01 October 2010)

10%? less than 2%...there are 33m+ ps3 sold in americas and emea

arcane_chaos (on 01 October 2010)

wow....there are some haters in here...since when is selling 300,000 units in ten day=bad?

Raze (on 01 October 2010)

I dont think the numbers are so hot, for something so widely amped, that's less than 10% of PS3 owners (including new ones) are buying Move. We'll see what the install rate for Move is after the holidays, but right now, 10% isn't going to encourage a lot of developers to make "move" games

hunter_alien (on 01 October 2010)

Not bad, it seems that the move is picking up ;-)

otoniel (on 01 October 2010)

wow great sales! i was not expecting this numbers glad to hear!

oniyide (on 01 October 2010)

@silver-tiger your wasting your time with the haters, anyone who played Move knows its way more responsive than Wii and the camera allows for games that simply cannot be done on Wii. This i coming from a guy who has had Wii for two and a half years

Silver-Tiger (on 30 September 2010)

@gvangoeverden: Come back when you'Ve played with it, then try to say the same. It's certainly entertaining how many people are treating this like Sony's answer to Wii. I tell you what. It was never meant to rival Wii!

Nybbas (on 30 September 2010)

after drudging through the comments on here, I almost forgot I was on VGchartz, and not Youtube.... are you people serious? The amount of trolling, and pure stupidity is mind boggling.... These numbers are decent, I am a huge PS3 fan, and I thought the move was going to completely tank. If you say any different you are just blinded by your retarded fanboyism. Obviously it isn't going to destroy the wii, but from a fucking business standpoint the move is going to be a DEFINITE success. stop acting like a bunch of retards spouting out the newest fucking cool *insert console here* hate phrase. IT ISNT ORIGINAL, AND NO ONE THINKS YOU ARE WITTY. All you do is bring down the quality of the site/discussion. Now that I'm done ranting... I went out on a limb and bought this last night, and ended up playing for 5 hours with my girlfriend till we were both exhausted and went to bed. My niece loves the eyepet, and sports champions is pretty damn addicting.

MO-MO-KILLA (on 30 September 2010)

God is that the same Calmador from the technobuffalo site? If so, your still as ignorant and idiotic as ever dude!!!!! @gvangoeverden No its not the same thing, saying that is like saying a chevy and a ferrari are both the same thing bro, that was just ignorant.

J.U.N.O (on 30 September 2010)

Sony "improved" is a misguided way of saying copied. Of course they improved, theyve had a few years to look at the wiimote and see of how it could be improved. After bashing Nintendo and calling the WII a fad they recurr to improving the technology and incorporating it to theyr system, thats shameful...

Calmador (on 30 September 2010)

As expected... low sales...

prime (on 30 September 2010)

HOLY Sony Defense Force is out in waves today!!

gvangoeverden (on 30 September 2010)

I tell you what makes me laugh. The wii getting run down for years for being stupid and child like now all those same people are standing up loud and proud for how impressed they are with the move sales like its the second coming or something. NO its the same thing!

oniyide (on 30 September 2010)

you gotta laugh at all the haters, the thing hasnt even released in Japan yet and thats Sony strongest market. 300,000 thats a good amount for such a short time with limited ads. The Move does what it says it does, nothing more nothing less, more that I can say for the Wiimote (minus the motion+)

MO-MO-KILLA (on 30 September 2010)

LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am loving how the Wiitards are just coming on and saying how the sale numbers are not that impressive, and how the console bundle is not selling. Did you wiitards see how the PS3 has been outselling the Wii lately? Where do you think the extra sales are coming from, the bundles. God I love how this ignorant butthurt wiitards make me laugh, the wii is not a real console guys, get over it. Then there are the Xbots, claiming how Kinect has over 1 million pre orders, when its more like 200k world wide, and how Kinect is new technology, its based of the eyetoy guys, a more powerful eyetoy, but its not NEW. Move is a better GAMING device than Kinect, you should know that by now. I am no fanboy, I have both systems (360 and PS3, the Wii is not a console!!!!) and I love them both, but even a retarded, blind person can see how the Move is way different from the Wii (similar, but not a copy, that is a called an improvement) and how Move has better GAMING POTENTIAL THAN KINECT.

RVDondaPC (on 30 September 2010)

Went to Target today here in LA and they were sold out in Move Controllers. Had 3 or 4 Navigation controllers and 1 PSEye toy.

mchaza (on 30 September 2010)

not bad, it will certainly sell far more next year with KZ3, Socom4 also if you were smart you would wait until Time Crisis came out

Ping_ii (on 30 September 2010)

LMAO the butthurts!

poroporo (on 30 September 2010)

@XanderZone It's not that bad really, it hasn't been released in Japan yet so there's some more potential buyers over there.

XanderZane (on 30 September 2010)

Only 300K, That's it!?!? So they sold 150K it first 3 days and another 150 for a week. Sales are actually dropping, not going up. It's strange that Kinect is priced at $150 and is rumored to have almost 1 million pre-orders. Sony did not market MOVE very well. Like Kinect, it only has a couple of games worth getting right now.

AaronSOLDIER (on 30 September 2010)

Massive ad campaign my ass.

baggy (on 30 September 2010)

Ive never seen a move ad on tv in australia if they start advertising it would sell better but 300k is pretty good.

poroporo (on 30 September 2010)

@oni-link Motion+ has been out for like, 18 months, so it's a worthless comparison. I don't know how many bundles they sold, but you seem to know the answer, so good for you.

oni-link (on 30 September 2010)

I have an idea how many Motion+ controllers and regualar Wii-Remotes sold at the momment; since we're keeping track of add-ons now instead of the fully blown consoles!!! For that matter how many $400 bundles consoles did Sony sell? Seeing the abundance of them at Fry's, Gamestop, Walmart, and Target can't be that many eh?

poroporo (on 30 September 2010)

@oni-link If someone's had a massive ad campaign, it's Microsoft, not Sony... also wondering where you see tremendous software, because I don't see it.

oni-link (on 30 September 2010)

YAWN...not surprising since the Sony fanbots have been waiting to support this since day one. Now we'll see how it does in a year or two to gauge whether this can pass and sell beyond the Sony fanboy crowd!!! Seeing how the $400 bundles are gathering dust on the shelves despite a MASSIVE ad campaign it doesn't bode too well as Kinect and surely a Wii price cut along with tremendous software is just around the corner!!!

poroporo (on 30 September 2010)

Sounds like pretty good numbers. I'll be picking up now move-ready MAG and MNR (thank you price drop) this weekend.

AaronSOLDIER (on 30 September 2010)

@STEKSTAV The EU bundle is different to the US bundle, the US bundle has Sports Champs the EU one only has a demo disc.

FantasySky (on 30 September 2010)

@Ghutto Lol sony made a point of saying they where not going to start advertising until after launch. asin they want long lasting sales not a quick shot XD

The Ghost of RubangB (on 30 September 2010)

THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING!

kimsk112 (on 30 September 2010)

Pretty good sale even with very limit marketing!

STEKSTAV (on 30 September 2010)

.. The bundle is cheaper in EU. Its 99 bucks in the US, i can get it for 90 at home.

pezus (on 30 September 2010)

@Arfen: These numbers take that into account. There have been many more Move Controllers sold than 300k.

pezus (on 30 September 2010)

@Hyruken: Uh...what? 250k is 83,3% of 300k which is definitely "over 80%"

Salnax (on 30 September 2010)

Not bad numbers, but the Wii isn't exactly shivering in fear.

STEKSTAV (on 30 September 2010)

I played with the move at Playstation HQ on 5th Ave here in NYC. It was actually alot of fun! Tried RE5, that street brawl game, golf, vollyball and the gladiator game. All worked like a charm, but its hard to get ahold of the button layout at first. My girl instantly fell in love with beating people up! But Tommy surpise, the start up bundle

Arfen (on 30 September 2010)

units sold is not the same to users... sport champions needs 2 move controllers to play some games so there's no 300.000 peoples with a move, a lot of them have it twice. so a game with move compatibility will sell less than that

Ghutto (on 30 September 2010)

Sony made a huge fuss over the launch of the Move, attacking the Wii and trying to convince people that the Move was better than the Wiimote, for what? To sell 300k in 10 days? What a shame! These numbers are a big failure. Be careful Wii.

CChaos (on 30 September 2010)

Pretty good. Not 'game changing' good, but quite good nonetheless. This isn't something that's going to make them a mountain of money, it's going to simply be part of the package with the PS3 from here on out. Try and lure some of the Wii users away from Nintendo and to offer up something new to the PS3 players. I figure Kinect numbers won't be much different, but we'll have to see. Neither one is going to kick much arse so early in their life spans.

ryuzaki57 (on 30 September 2010)

Wouah! That means 150.000 moves from last saturday to date. It's kind of picking up...

nickvasko (on 30 September 2010)

ok numbers, i think if they did more advertising then they could have done better, they could have even sold some more consoles at the same time.....

elmerion (on 30 September 2010)

Good numbers imho, but not enough to compete against Nintendo, weŽll have to see in the holidays

AnthonyTonyMagic (on 30 September 2010)

@atma998 Actually Microsoft 'bought' something new, rather than 'created', but that's neither here nor there. I imagine that Kinect sales will be good, especially with the 3DS delays (poor Nintendo, possibly your first misstep of this generation). But good sales don't always equal a better gaming experience. The Wii, until recently, had sold more units than PS3 and 360 combined. Does that make it a machine with a better gaming experience? The Wii was great for parties, but showed it's weakness when you tried to play hardcore motion games on it. I wonder if Kinect will have the same effect of feeling great for a few hours... until the glitches start to annoy you. Sony have introduced new hardware in a very careful way, making sure they make a profit on each unit, not employing Cirque du Soleil and doing massively expensive promotion, and are selling a good device that does what it says it does. With that in mind, 300,000 units shipped in under 2 weeks is a very good number. In a few more weeks they may have recouped their marketing budget. After that, profit all the way. I don't dare think how much MS have paid for their Reach and Kinect marketing

i'm enjoying playing sports champion recently ^^ next will need more better software that really make use of Move ability that could show what is really different between Move and Wii-remote to those jelly people who keep saying Move copy Wii-remote

Those numbers aren't bad. I picked up a Move controller today and I'm quite impressed. I didn't want to commit to the bundle in-case it sucked, so I bought a single remote to go with my old PS Eye, downloaded the demos. Now that I've played with it (for about 8 hours) I think that comparisons with the Wii are understandable, but not really fair. As a Wii owner I can see that Move is different... augmented reality is a little bit freaky and cool... and virtual objects in your hands are very Roger Rabbit, in a cool way. I'm going to pick up a bundle next week, and give the spare PS Eye to someone who needs it. Anyway, I just hope the sales stay strong and the developers make some great games. The hardware is already solid, and it just needs a little support

@atma998 MS copied the PS eye cam, thats all kinect really is, and Move is similar to wii in alot of ways but it's also different in alot, the move can pretty much do everything kinect and the wii can only more precise as for the sales, they aren't advertising at all what do you expect, MS is spending hundreds of millions advertising kinect Sony is spending maybe several mil

@ atma998 There at least 20 games on PS3 (some from 2007) where with the PS Eye "you are the contoller" and use your hands instead of the pad. I played some of them today. Its cool for a bit but the fun wears off quick. No controller in the hand - it only looks fun in the ads.
