Fresh from Gamescom, Insomniac Games announced a new Ratchet and Clank game titled Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One.

In a first for the Ratchet and Clank series, the game will feature up to four-player drop in/drop out co-op play. The co-op will be available for both local and online multiplayer. Players can step into the shoes of Ratchet, Clank, Captain Quark, and Dr. Nefarious.

Like LittleBigPlanet, it appears that while the game can be played alone, certain puzzles will require up to four players to accomplish.

That's great, I love R&C - but I wish I hadn't heard about the game yet, because I don't want to wait a year for it!

Cool. I've owned every main story R&C game up to this point. This one will be on the list too. Local Co-op is a nice development in gameplay for the series too. My son loves R&C as much as me, and now we can play together. I'd have preferred Rusty Pete as the 4th player option, but Dr. N will do OK. I presume the story behind the game will satisfactorily justify the joining of these 2 arch enemies in common cause.
