GoldenEye 007 Gold Classic Controller Pro Bundle Revealed

by Marc Besnard, posted on 11 August 2010 / 1,524 Views

Activision have just announced a hardware bundle for GoldenEye 007 Wii that includes a Golden Classic Controller Pro.

With the original announcement of the recreation of the Nintendo 64 classic FPS for Wii came pictures of possible controller add-ons, one of which was a gold coloured Classic Controller Pro. Since that time many have speculated that there may indeed be a special edition of the Classic Controller Pro on the way this holiday along with the game. Well now that speculation can be put to rest as Activision have announced hardware bundle details for GoldenEye 007 and provided us with the first look at the special edition hardware.

GoldenEye 007 will be available both as a hardware bundle including GoldenEye 007 software for Wii and a special edition Gold Classic Controller Pro and also as standalone software. The standalone software is expected to retail for $49.99 while the hardware bundle will cost $69.99 and include this snazzy piece of gaming goodness:

Gold CC Pro

GoldenEye 007 will support multiple control schemes including Wii Remote and Nunchuk and the Zapper but for fans of the classic and for fans of modern High Definition First Person Shooters, this is sure to be a winner.

nice, ill probably go for this version then, I cant find my classic controller >_> so I need a new one for Goldeneye, otherwise I avoid FPS games on Motion Sense.

I still think Wiimotes suck for FPSs but I already have a classic controller, WTH ill probably use the Wiimote just to mix it up

What they really need to create is a golden gun for the wiimote. It could be like the HotD controller but more bond like and shiny gold. That would kick ass!

I'm of two minds about this. On the one hand, I suppose it's a good idea to appeal to a wider audience by catering to those who prefer dual analogue controls. On the other hand, if you're not using Wii controls, there seems little point of it being on the Wii at all.

If I get GoldenEye I will probably get the bundle as the golden CCPro is to damn shiny to resist.

@ Mojo. Ugly, but damn comfortable

Mojo (on 11 August 2010)

This would be way cooler as a Golden Gun...that controller is pretty ugly.

BoneArk (on 11 August 2010)

I would get this, but, I already have the black classic controller pro when I bought Monster Hunter 3.

Cobretti2 (on 11 August 2010)

i want a gold classic pro controller, as aus atm has only the garbage classic without the shoulders for support.

iI will sitck with the stand alone verione of the game too, i mean i have a wii-mote why the hell do i need two analogs ? Have they ever tried prime 3 ? But i think someone out there will play with classic controllers.

I'd rather have a gold Wiimote. Still gonna purchase the standalone version, though.
