Mass Effect 2 Sex Scenes - News

What do you do when sex scenes in your game cause controversy? You multiply them in the sequel! Mass Effect 2 has leaked, and a lot of videos have leaked as well (no nudity, mind you). Mass Effect 2 will be available for PC and Xbox 360 in North America on January 26, 2010 and in Europe on January 29, 2010.

I really don't get what's the deal with these. They're so mild.
At this day and age when you can watch any kind of porn on line with minimal effort, you'd have to wonder why people go completely bonkers over this stuff.

I really don't see why these or the ones in the original would be so controversial, they're so tame. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think there was nearly as much talk about the sex scenes in GOW 1&2. And those had nudity and actual moaning, granted you still didn't see anything happen.

Unimpressive. They're a bit cheesey, and they keep their clothes on the entire time. There shouldn't be any media hype over these videos.

I don't wanna see CGI "sex", frankly when it looks like that it looks more like a toy than say, when it's just being cartoonish and fun...

it reminds me of those action figures and ends up just looking weird. It doesn't make gaming look cool or more mature at all.. it does pretty much the opposite I think.

I find that games are more respected when they don't take themselves too seriously, or aren't trying to be something other than games.

I guess this adds something to the game. I don't see it as a big deal, and if it is on YouTube, they won't show much at all. Not much to see here, except I get it a "cool, they also have THAT in the game" although I doubt that I would end up pursuing any of the romance angles in the game. I feel I am too busy having to save the universe to focus on that.

I understand that video games have become like mini movies but I still do not understand the need for sex scenes and all that nonsense. If you want to see sex or play sex they have pornographic video games for you. As a culture we are way too sex obsessed. A lot of these games are interesting so it would be nice if kids could play them too. At least Nintendo makes games that kids can play too. After all it is kids that revitalized the video game industry.

Pretty sad. Looks like once again they are just childish, cheesy B-Movie level interruptions to the flow of the game. Lets hope the relationships are actually a little better developed, but somehow I doubt it.

You guys of the bad comments are idiots! Video games are suposed to be for kids and sex scenes help eliminate this false information. AMAZING JOB from Bioware and GTA!
