Band Hero DS Announced - News

Activision just announced Band Hero for the Nintendo DS, which is different from the Guitar Hero franchise, which is said to be the more family-friendly orientated Guitar Hero game. The DS version will have, like the console versions, lead guitar, bass, drums and vocals while performing songs.

Among the 30 tracks include the following musicians, Blink-182, Avril Lavigne, The Killers and Fall Out Boy. It will also include a band customization editor.

Sadly, these extra peripherals won't work for those that have upgraded to a DSi.

Also, there is a homebrew mod that makes the first 3 games playable on DSi by using the face buttons and/or directional pad/triggers... It's been out for a while, but I think it takes all the fun out of it...

Also, if that last line seemed a little insulting, it's because of Harmonix groupies like Snesboy who sit there and suck HMX's dick all day... I actually have RB2 and GHWT on 360, but I can't stand it when the HMX trolls come rolling into every GH announcement... So now I'm going to make sure to shove the shit back... don't take it too personally.

IT IS NOT A PERIPHERAL.

It is just a skin that pushes the right buttons... So the drums will play like rockband: unplugged...

I like the fact that you can stay with an instrument and you aren't FORCED to SWITCH MIDSONG!
