The VGChartz Gap charts are updated monthly and each article focuses on a different gap chart. The charts include comparisons between the 7th generation and 8th generation platforms, as well as comparisons within the 8th generation. All sales are worldwide, unless otherwise stated.

Switch Vs. Xbox One Global:

Gap change in latest month: 4,297,252 – Switch

Total Lead: 8,117,086 – Switch

Switch Total Sales: 13,361,768

Xbox One Total Sales: 5,244,682

December 2017 is the 10th month that the Nintendo Switch has been available for. During the latest month the gap grew in favor of the Switch by 4.30 million units when compared to the Xbox One during the same timeframe. The Switch is currently ahead of the Xbox One by 8.12 million units.

The Xbox One launched in November 2013, while the Nintendo Switch launched worldwide in March 2017. The Switch has sold 13.36 million units, while the Xbox One sold 5.24 million units during the same timeframe.

doesn't make any sense, Microsoft shipped 10 million, as of november 12 yet, they only sold 4 million...ok

1.) Microsoft said that they 'almost' shipped 10 million by that date.
2.) This graph shows Xbox One sales until September, not November.
3.) Xbox One is at 5 million at the end of September, not 4 million.

so in 1 month and 10 days they sold 8-8.5 million? still doesn't add up.
