Square Enix Plans to Remake More Older Games - News

Square Enix is currently already remaking Final Fantasy VII but the company has revealed that it also plans to remake more of its older games in its annual report.
The report says the following:
"We will revitalize some of our strong IPs in ways that meet the needs of the modern gaming market. For example, we will take an IP developed for earlier generations of game consoles and recreate it for the latest consoles, while also proactively developing versions for play on smart devices.
In addition, we will also explore possibilities involving VR (virtual reality) and other new platforms. We want our longtime fans to relish reliving past experiences with a freshness that only the latest in technology can provide, while at the same time have new customers enjoy the IP as though it were brand new."
Square Enix plans to collaborate with other companies and expand into emerging regions, such as Russia, the Middle East, and South America.

Great, Im all for making classic games better. A lot of people may not have played the original or it didnt age well.
So many classic Square games to choose from, but I'll have to pitch in a vote for Vagrant Story! That game was straight out amazing on the PS1 and I'd be in gaming nirvana if I'd ever get my hands on an HD remake of it.

You know, it may be old concept today, but i like those days when a gaming company actually make new games ips.
It's probably too much to ask for a new tidied up version of Live A Live or Einhander...but I can wish.
If you're old like me, only the original version, playing with a PS1 controller, will be nostalgic. Remakes lose that entirely.

Really? FFXV, KH3, DQH2, DQ11, DQ Builders, Deus Ex, Hitman, Tomb Raider, FF Dissidia, FFtype 1, Nier 2, World of FF, Just Cause 3, I mean how the hell can u even say that with a straight face.
Every single thing you just said is an established IP. It's nothing new, just different takes on old games.
Who cares if they're established IPs, they are new games which is what I was responding to.
None of those games have even released yet and the Western games have nothing to do with Square who is just the publisher and the same for SO5 so no
