Spike Chunsoft and tri-Ace’s New RPG - Exist Archive - Announced - News

Today Spike Chunsoft and tri-Ace announced their collaboration, RPG Exist Archive: The Other Side of the Sky for the PS4 and Vita.
The game will be produced by Yuichiro Saito (Danganronpa, Conception), and the current president of tri-Ace, Yoshiharu Gotanda (Star Ocean, Resonance of Fate), will be the lead programmer. Exist Archive is being written by Masaki Norimoto (Valkyrie Profile), and the character designs will be produced by Mino Taro (LovePlus).
More details will be made public when the latest issue of Famitsu leaks in the next few days.
Exist Archive: The Other Side of the Sky is set to release in Japan later this year for PS4 & Vita.

Announced in July and released this year...? That seems kinda awkward. Well Resonance of Fate was decent, kinda gives me hope for this game.
Were all these RPG developers waiting for an RPG friendly install base and found it with the PS4? -or- This is just a big coincidence?
