Pokemon Omega Ruby / Alpha Sapphire and 3DS Dominate Japanese Charts - News
by William D'Angelo , posted on 03 December 2014 / 5,769 ViewsPokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire (3DS) sold 298,613 million units in its second week on sale bringing lifetime sales to 1.63 million units. This is according to Media Create numbers for the week ending November 30 reported by Gematsu.
There were 11 games that debuted in the top 20. Phantasy Star Nova (PSV) was the top debut this week with sales of 107,313 units. Etrian Odyssey Untold II: Knight of Fafnir (3DS) debuted at number three wit sales of 59,531 units. Fate/hollow ataraxia (PSV) debuted at number four with sales of 53,979. Resident Evil (PS3) debuted at number five with sales of 50,258.
The 3DS sold more than every other platform combined. All four versions of the 3DS sold a combined 106,517 units. The PlayStation Vita saw sales nearly triple to 27,935 units. The PlayStation 4 sold 13,489 units, the Wii U sold 12,496 units, the PlayStation 3 sold 5,360, and the Xbox One sold 1,237 units.
