Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Sells 950K Units in the US - News

First week sales for Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire in the US are in. The Pokémon remake debuted at the top of the charts with sales of 948,713 units, according to VGChartz.The game helped increase 3DS sales by 39 percent to 91,970 units.

To compare sales, Pokémon X/Y sold 1,213,356 units in its first week in the US back in October 2013. The game has managed to sell 3.83 million units in the US to date.

The game was the bestselling game in Japan with sales of 1.53 million units in its debut. The Pokémon Company also announced the game sold 3.04 million units worldwide. However, it must be stated the game does not launch in Europe until November 28.
