Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Sales Top 3M Worldwide in Just 3 Days - News

Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire sold 3.04 million units worldwide in its first three days on sale, according to The Pokémon Company and reported by Siliconera. About half or 1.53 million of the units sold were in Japan.
The sales figure include Japan, the US, Australia, and South Korea. The game does not launch in Europe until November 28. The game should sell well in Europe.
To compare, Pokémon X/Y, the other 3DS Pokémon game, managed to sell four million units in its opening week, according to VGChartz sales data. However, it must be noted that Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire is a remake, while Pokémon X/Y was an original title in the franchise.
